Q: Can this be used in jewlery making, i.e. sealing the knot on stretchy string on a bracelet?

submitted by Jensk8 - 1 month ago
  • A: E6000 is a great choice when making jewelry--it dries clear, will flex with the bracelet, and is fully waterproof when it is cured. It should work great to seal the knot and make it secure. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Does this glue turn yellow over time? Like if I was to use it to rhinestone a car emblem.

submitted by New mommy - 1 month ago
  • A: E6000 is a clear adhesive but it may yellow over years of being in the sun's UV rays. If the adhesive is covered or painted it will have some added UV protection. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Can this glue be used to repair porcelain?

submitted by Island Wahine - 4 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a great choice for repairing porcelain and it holds very well. Clean both surfaces with acetone or rubbing alcohol prior to applying. For best results treat the product as a contact adhesive, meaning apply the product to both surfaces and allow 1-2 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Can I use this stick patches on beanies, puffer vest and nylon jacket?

submitted by The cook - 4 months ago
  • A: E6000 works great for adhering patches on clothing. I bonds great with nylon, cotton, and wool, and should flex and move with the garment once fully cured. For best results, apply E6000 to both surfaces and allow 1-2 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping/securing with weight for 24 hours. Q: Does this work outside in cold Minnesota winter weather?

submitted by CBMN - 4 months ago
  • A: E6000 should be applied in temperatures between 50-90F, but once cured it can withstand temperatures of -40--180F. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Can i glue large mirror to a door with it? I'm reading that many glues / liquid nail products delaminate the back of the mirror / ruin it. Can it be safely used on the mirror back??

submitted by Vic SF - 6 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a great choice for bonding a mirror to a wooden door. E6000 is widely used for this application and will bond very well; there should not be an issue with the backing of the mirror. Clean both surfaces with rubbing alcohol prior to applying. For best results treat the product as a contact adhesive, meaning apply the product to both surfaces and allow 2-3 minutes for the product to get tacky before mating the two together and clamping or taping in place for 24 hours. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Will this work on wood or take wood adhesive better

submitted by MM - 6 months ago
  • A: E6000 is a great choice for bonding wood. It will adhere well and hold with over 3,500 lbs./square inch of tensile strength. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Is it safe to use this glue to adhere a broken handle to lid on a dish that will be baked in the oven? I see an example image of a teapot, but it's unclear if this product can withstand heat.

submitted by Katey - 7 months ago
  • A: E6000 has an upper tolerable temperature of 180F, so use on an item that will be used in an oven is not advised. Temperatures above 180F will cause the product to soften and fail. Thank you for your support of Eclectic Products and Target!

Q: Will this glue vinyl to vinyl?

submitted by K - 8 months ago
  • A: Yes, E6000 works great for this application! Make sure your surface is clean, dry and free of dirt before applying. Apply directly to each surface to be bonded, allow to partially cure, approximately 2 minutes before mating surfaces. Allow your repair to cure for 24 hours. Thank you for your support of Home Depot and Eclectic Products!

This is the best but does have a strong odor. Be careful as it can cause headache and should be used with a ventilator. This one has precision tips which work out nice depending on the project.

Worst version of E6000

Second time buying this version of e6000 (big tube, precision tip.) BOTH TIMES the tube has burst on me while still being half full. First time I figured it was user error, second time I’m starting to think it’s a tube design flaw. ALWAYS buy the multi pack tiny tubes. That way when the glue inevitably seals itself shut it isn’t a huge loss. Very sad I have to throw away so much glue but I can’t squeeze it without getting glue everywhere.

The glue is easy to use, especially with the extra tips. My mom, who is very particular, saw my son using this glue and wanted to know what kind it was and where to buy it. I ordered them a tube and they were happy to have it.

I bought this product because I needed to repair a piece of jewelry that had a stone missing. The precision tip was perfect for the job. It went on clear and bonded immediately without residue or leaving the stone, cloudy . Has a great price point, and is good for many other projects in the home. I will be keeping this in my toolbox on repeat.

E6000 for crafts

3 out of 5 stars
Nana Tina - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
It’s a great glue that holds well. However, I was disappointed with the precision tip. It worked great the first time with it’s fine precision tip for tight areas. I was careful to wipe the tip clean and even poked a pick through both ends of the tip before replacing with the regular tip. The second time around, nothing would come out so I had to squeeze a drop out and apply with a tooth pick. Great concept, if only you could use more than once. If you buy it, try to plan out all your tasks at one sitting and it will do a great job, as long as you don’t put it to rest for a day or more.

Glue Busted Out the Back Seam

Punctured the tip as instructed. Used the precision tips that it came with. Apparently it proved to be too much pressure and it busted the back seam, causing glue to go everywhere. Huge mess to clean up and my project is still not completed.

I used this to glue a ceramic tea pot lid back together it worked well. It has less odor than super glue and is a bit easier to work with in my opinion I used a cue tip to apply it to the broken edge of glass.
