Q: How do I remove the plastic that kept the lid on the base from around the pedestal base? It doesn't just slide out from around it. Does the pedestal come off? Also, is this top rack only?

I got this last minute since my glass stand broke. This stand is sturdy, screws off easily for washing and storing. The only problem I had with this stand is the dome. Unlike my glass stand it doesn’t hold a large 2 layer cake. This stand will hold a 9in. 2 layer cake only if the cake is no more than 2in. in height.
Market these for spring time. They will sell. Make one with a trost lock plate.

loved that the lid is plastic, I been looking for ones of these for a long time but hesitant to buy one because I have little ones. The only thing I would say is be careful when you wash it make sure you don't scrub the spone too hard. I scrub it with the ruff part of the sponge and there are some little lines of the sponge rubbing against it. It still looks ok though you can't really see it unless you look closely other than that I love it and the price is a plus.

Absolutely love this cake stand with cover! I ordered two online and they were packaged extremely well. No scratches, just a couple of slightly visible scuff marks. I used mine to hold and cover snacks on the patio. As you can see on the emoji cup photos, I could fit four paper cups (bottom diameter 2 3/4”; top diameter 3 1/2” and height 2 1/2”) with the lid on. I also used them to hold hamburger, slider and hot dog buns while my husband was grilling. After use, I unscrewed the base, hand washed the set, and stored them away. Great purchase!

Wanted an inexpensive cake stand that was NOT made out of heavy ceramic or with a glass cover. This worked well. Can use for pastries, cookies, pies or small cakes. Only downside/complaint is that when the base is screwed into the underside of the plate part, it sits a bit lopsided once together.

I LOVE that this is lie is plastic and not glass. I have a 10,9 and 2 year old. This is what you want if you have kids I. The house who would like whatever you’re putting inside it! Exactly what I was looking for. Looks nice and had a clean look on my counter too!
