Q: How long till fully charged when new? And how long does charge last? Is there a timer on it?
A: The instructions stated 4-5 hours battery life on a full charge. I left mine on low last night in the kitchen and it was dead by morning. I now am using it as a standard plug in lamp.

The battery life is capable of lasting up to 10 hours. There is no timer on the product, but there is a touch switch with numerous light settings (off, low, medium, high). Q: Does this come with a plug in option versus charged?
A: Hi, I believe another reviewer indicated they use it with the charging cable-- that is, instead of using it as "charged." So, it seems you can use it with the cable it comes with, as a "plug-in."
