Q: The response "it's safe for "QUICK" reheating" makes me think they will throw sparks during microwave use. Is there another version of this set without the metallic rim? Or with a truly microwavable rim?

A: Hi SSS. This set does not have a metallic rim. The rim is brow. "Quick" is used for reheating foods, not prolonged heating. This set is microwave safe and will not throw sparks.

Very heavy and nicely made! I am impressed! I bought 2 sets andhad no problems with broken/chipped items. Came well packaged and in great shape. I do wish they were a little brighter yellow, but not a huge deal! I also love the larger lip on the plates.

This is my second set of these I had a few of these dishes break during the last couple years and I was pleased to be able to find them. They have a unique grip on the bottom of them which make them very ease to carry especially the bowls. I can only hope that this company sticks around as they are far better quality then any Gibson or Pfaltzgraff i have owned.
