Q: Is it rust proof if its meant for bathrooms?

A: Hello Maya, thank you so much for showing your interest in the item "24" Decorative Glass Wall Shelf with Brass Rail - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia". In order to answer your question, this item is corrosion resistant. We can’t say that it is “rust proof” but as long as it’s not in constant contact with water, it won’t rust. It’s ok to have in the bathroom but we wouldn’t necessarily recommend hanging it in the shower. I hope that helps - Akanksha.

Oh man. We’re used to home projects and furniture assembly and this shelf was mess. - The anchors are trash. In the end we had to use our own. - As others mentioned the screws do not match, which was inconvenient but fine I just used rub and buff to sort of match them and it isn’t noticeable from afar - there is a significant gap between the glass shelf and wall, by design. So if you wanted to lean a picture frame up on the shelf against the wall for example it could just fall right through. - surprising to me, the actual design of the shelf doesn’t make sense. Even when the brackets are securely attached to the wall, the shelf protrudes so far out from the wall that it messes with the integrity - it’s too much weight You definitely need two people. Probably a power drill, a level, pencil, screwdriver.

According to my husband, the shelf was easy to install. Like others, the screws don’t match the gold but I plan to buy rub n’ buff to fix that. The design with the glass not being flush to the wall doesn’t impact what I intend to use the shelf for. However, the screws stick up making it an uneven surface. Thankfully I chose big decor items that sit perfectly on them but I could see how many are upset over the quality control on this shelf. It was the perfect shelf for what I needed and ultimately I’m happy with how I piece everything together.

The connectors are brass, but the screws to attach shelf to wall are silver. They should also be brass. Holes for screws did not line up properly. Wall anchors were too big and one did not work. On the other hand, they look pretty.

This shelf is so great except like the other said there's a literal inch gap between the shelf and the wall because of how long the metal attachments are. This is a huge issue! Magnolia should really be ashamed of the quality control.

First, it was very well packed! Sadly that’s the only nice thing to say. It came with silver screws that would show, thankfully I had some brass. One part is bent, can’t be straightened… The brass is very dull and dingy looking. I wish I had returned it, but I needed something up before hosting a party.

It's very cute but the wiring around the edge is poorly done and one of the corners is off. The glass itself is crooked and there's no way to really tell until it's on the wall so it's front to back slightly slanted. Honestly just poor quality all around. I now have four huge holes in the wall so I feel like I can't take it down at this point.

I bought two of these to go on the wall above a toilet in a bathroom. The style is great but there are a few downsides. The “railing” on the shelf came bent/warped in a few places. Additionally, a merchandise sticker is put on the center of each glass shelf that leaves behind a horrible glue residue once removed. I had to use goo gone to remove the sticker residue.

Heavy. The gold wiring is a bit flimsy and needs to be adjusted back into place frequently. Glass is slightly green. Requires some installation with two points. Good for holding knickknacks and such, but nothing too big.

I received this product for free from Hey Bullseye! in exchange for an honest review. It looks like a high end piece. It is a nice size and has a nice weight to it. I am using it in my living room, but it is so versatile I think it could go just about anywhere you need an elegant touch!

This glass shelf looks sophisticated in our guest bathroom, and also provides much needed storage. I like that it has a railing so items don’t fall off the shelf easily. The shelf is big enough to hold extra soap and other cute bathroom items, and adds some visual interest to the plain wall.
