some of y’all complaining in these reviews clearly don’t know what y’all doing this was the easiest thing i’ve ever done i know it’s marketed for children but teens and adults may make more use of this and have more fun i had no problem blending or mixing colors finishing a page took little to no time and NO MESS best thing ever if you know what youre doing

Such an original concept! We bought this as a kids activity during a Christmas party and loved them so much I purchased a set to have a home. Such a fun and easy twist on a coloring book and easy for all ages to do!

Beautiful pictures n high quality tools but it was harder than I thought. My 3 & 6 year old were not able to get the hang of it. It’s definitely an activity for teens and adults.

Could not figure out how to make the markers blend. They were just marker. The paper with the flowers is wonderful. We ended up just using water colors. After we came back to the test peice, they did eventuallyblen, just takes a while.

The markers don’t work correctly. When you add water, the color balls up and peels off rather than blending.

Color and watercolor

Fun, but not intuitive how to use materials. I had to look up a demonstration online on how to use these pens and eventually got the hang of it. Really nice for a craft night with a friend but I wish it came with more than one brush.

Hard to show up with the yellow. My 6 year old still liked it though

The did like the instructions told and the markers started making a mess of the paper and it doesn't blend at all.

Nice concept for “watercoloring” but really just water sobule markers and water you are using not actual paint makers. Great idea for traveling activities.

Didn’t work like I thought it would

I wanted to love this. I really did. As a watercoloring book by itself, it's fantastic. the pictures are lovely and there are 24 pages of them. I am by no means any sort of artist (but I'm guessing that you aren't either, or you wouldn't be looking at a coloring book 😅), but I was really disappointed by the brush markers. They're basically just water soluble markers. If you "paint" with the marker, then the blending brush can be used to go over the area and spread the color around to achieve the watercolor aesthetic. But that's not really water coloring now is it? It's definitely more convenient than a watercoloring set in the sense that it can be done just about anywhere. It would be fantastic for a long car or airplane ride. In the picture, the petal on the left was done with a traditional watercolor set. The petal on the right was with the brush markers. I had hoped that I could go over the marker with the wet brush and it would spread the color out, but it dries so so quickly. On the top right of the page is an experiment I did with blending colors. The only reason why the purple blended at all was because the tip of the marker got a bit wet when I was trying to get that petal sorted out. So I guess the markers might work if you dip them in water beforehand.

I was pretty disappointed in quality of paper. The watercolor markers blend great on my own watercolor paper, but the coloring book provided does NOT blend the markers if you want that water color look. It’s basically coloring it in with markers.

The water color markers don't work. They are useless.

I have yet to find anything Mondo Llama that my family hasn't enjoyed! True to form, this kit did not disappoint! I will say it's probably best suited for older children and adults. My youngest didn't quite get the hang of the technique using the watercolor markers.

This is a really cute and easy to learn and use watercolors set. It comes with beautiful markers that blend out with the watercolors pen. It's nice thick quality paper with cute graphics.

This is a very good coloring book-24 pages in all and comes with many prints to watercolor with. Book is easy to use and has good quality paper that can withstand watercolor. Watercolor pens are also of good quality-kids and adults like this book in our household-good value!

Mondo Llama 24pg Watercolor Coloring Book Set Floral and Fauna has some beautiful pictures but the water color pens don’t work very well with them. The colors bleed and I messed a few very pretty pictures up before switching to my own water color and brushes. The coloring book itself is worth it tho! The watercolor pens that are included I wouldn’t use again.
