The change in temperature when we turned it off made one of the rocks explode and hot pieces of rock flew at us and burned us. Luckily we were ok. We enjoyed it until then — but that’s a huge safety hazard!

This fire column still works, but after three years, it’s basically falling apart, and a complete eye sore! We always kept it covered in under a covered porch, but the whole inside room is literally crumbling.

Second time lighting this the whole fire tower caught on fire. Top of the bowl lit and then flames shot down into the tower around the tank and flames around the tank connection. Another review mentions this same thing happening. Do not buy this thing:(( We purchased two of them and will be returning both.

I was looking for a fire pit to go on our screened in porch. This one is perfect! It creates the best ambiance. The heat can be felt if you are sitting beside it. We don’t turn it up to high since we have it in a screened porch. It does have a great flame for an open area. It also comes with a cover which I nice. We have really enjoyed it. My mom liked it so much, I bought her one.

A lot of heat for a little fire column

Definitely puts off a lot of heat for such a little guy. It did come with a few scrapes (we got the grey one) but it also came with a paint pen, which if I had read that in reviews I may have passed this up. Not sure I want a product that comes with a paint pen to fix defects. That said, the Labor Day price was amazing and it really does produce a lot of heat. We would buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to receive this Fire Column from Target. It was very easy to put together. The lava rocks that come with it are ok but I would definitely upgrade to the glass rocks. There are samples of the Glass Rock options included in the package along with a pen to cover up scratches. Unfortunately, when we went to hook up the propane to the regulator and start using it, there was a loud hissing sound indicating that something was wrong and we disconnected the regulator from the propane. I reached out to Pipestone's customer service via email and chat to figure out next steps and at this writing, I have not heard back them. It has been over a week. I am really looking forward to using this but until the regulator is fixed, it is not safe to use. I do hope that I will get a reply soon. But due to the customer service response so far, I am giving this 3 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't have high expectations for this, but it turned out great. Before I tell you what I like about it, I will tell you what's not so great. The design is basic and kinda looks like a trash can. It also seems to scratch easy, but comes with a touch up paint pen. I also wish it would have came with a glass shield for the flame like some of the others. On the other hand, when it's in use, it's awesome. I love the adjustable feet to make it level. I really like that it comes with rocks and you have the option to get something other than lava rocks. When it's lit it gives off a perfect amount of light on our porch to help where our cafe lights lack. It also comes with a rain cover, so you don't have to haul it in the garage after use. I think this is definitely worth getting to add to your porch for an outdoor dinner or just entertaining friends and drinks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is great!! It works very well, is easy to light and creates a ton of heat. We have a fire table on the deck and that thing takes up a lot of space without being able to actually use the table top too often due to the heat. We put this thing in the corner, turned it on and realized that if it's not too far, it creates even more heat than the fire table right in front of us! I gave this product 4 stars only because I wish it was a little more aesthetically pleasing. It is very industrial looking and the lava rock area could be a little deeper in my opinion. All in all, those are nit picky complaints and this really is an awesome product. I highly recommend if you're looking for a space saver and heat producer!
