I should have listened to the other reviews. Product is extremely cheaply made and packaged. Backing is paper, all pieces sent were torn. Corners of the main pieces are bashed.

Horrible it’s cheap and hard to set up.

This is a poor quality product. The backing is unfinished and the paper they sent to cover it is completely wrong in color. Unit is very light wood color and paper is a dark walnut. Also you’ll need glue as the paper is literally just that, thin paper low quality paper. Bought two of these and will most likely return.

Cheaply made for the price

This is terrible and so cheap. Literally uses stickers to cover up the screw holes DO NOT BUY!

We decided to purchase this cubby bookcase to match the lateral file cabinet and display cabinet we purchased previously for our home office. It was easy to assemble. I especially like the metal legs. They make the piece look different than other units on the market. The Charter Oak finish is somewhat rustic looking. . This was a good buy for the prie.

Not at all worth the cost. The quality is terrible. The boards are very thin and the space provided to nail the back on is so narrow that you can easily split the shelves. The stickers provided to cover the screw holes don’t even match well. We’ve assembled a lot of pre-fab furniture and this was by far the worst. Wish I would have stopped and returned it but not high o my list of things to do at 8 months pregnant.

Brittle particle board which split simply by inserting wooden dowels and connecting two pieces. And that was only the first of a few that occurred during installation. Should have gone to Ikea. Would have been cheaper and made from better materials. Also barely fits square bin.

Ugh. Buyer beware. I made the mistake of thinking that all of these cube shelves that you see everywhere would have standard dimensions to fit standard sized bins, most of which are either 11 or 13 inches w/d/h. This shelf, however, has 10x10 inch cubbies. I spent 2 hrs building it before I tried to fit one of my many cube bins in there, only to learn I should have measured those first. But why create a 10x10 cubby shelf WHEN TARGET DOESN'T SELL 10X10 BINS?!? ultimately it's my fault for not noticing the size specifics, i guess I just trusted target would want to sell shelves that are compatible with their bins. sigh. Also don't like that the screws are exposed. They give you white stickers to cover them up (which would look tackier than the exposed screws), they couldn't even bother to provide the plastic nubs that look a little more polished and are more durable? There similar cube shelves that have the correct cubby size, are $30 less expensive, and have good reviews from other stores, but I wanted to buy from Target for an easy return if needed. guess I'll need to explore that option now.

I needed something for storage in my daughters room and although this was a bit more than I would have preferred to have paid it works perfectly in the space we have! Assembly wasn't difficult at all, everything was very clearly described and labeled. My one criticism would be the stickers provided to cover the screw holes. With such a nice piece and especially at this price I would prefer something a little better to cover the holes, or at least have some variation in the pattern printed on the stickers so you can try to hide them better in the grain of each shelf.

This shelf is very sturdy, and it looks great in my living room. It assembled easily and works great for storage bins or just storing other games, etc.
