These shed on first use. Pretty disappointing. I’ve baked many strands that I’ve missed before putting in oven.

The first time I used it, two bristles came off on my food. Maybe more? The bristles come right out and they're hard to find in your food!

If you want to cook/bake with something that looks like Rumpelstiltskin Straw, or Whale's Teeth, Or A Horses' Mane, then this is definitely the product for you. If not, then I would definitely encourage you to look elsewhere.

The Figmint pastry brushes come in a pack of 2, easy to hold handles, with super soft bristles. They’re hand washable only. I have only used one of the brushes so far and already the bristles are shedding. Looks like they’ll be sent to the craft table.

I finally got to try and find a pastry brush that works for my Bundt cake pans without causing any damage for prep. These does take a little bit to dry once washed but has held up well. The handle has a nice grip to it for prep of any kind.
Love the soft grip handles and the thick bristles hold the melted butter and oil with minimal drip.

I do a lot of baking and I am very pleased with these Figment Pastry Brushes. They are sturdy, well made and the soft grip handles are no slip even if my hands might have shortening oil on them. The bristles are the right length, thick tight bristles holds the melted oil or butter very well with minimal drip. Wide enough for even quick coating of pie crust and even basting.

This soft grip pastry brush set is neat! I like that it has natural bristles which I think will be a lot easier to use than rubber ones. I am eager to try it on my next pastry dish, and it was easy to wash these. I also like that it comes in a pack of two!

Hand washed before first use and both brushes reeked (even after drying overnight). Handwashed a second time, still stinky. Turns out that something (either adhesive or something else) is at the bristle bases (it comes off easily on a cotton swab). Won't be using these.
They're great, but not for long.

After a couple uses, a bristle or two come off every single time. It’s a good thing I’m not a blonde or it would really look like I leave my hair everywhere in the meals i make. They work great at first, but after a couple times being washed the quality really goes down.

I like these brushes. Theyre very flexible and spred things like melted butter around easily. My only complaint is that i did not know that they were natural bristle brushes. Had i known i probably wouldnt have gotten them. I would have been happy with synthetic bristled brushes.

I liked the fact that it was a set of two with bristles. I always prefer bristles to the silicone alternative. Unfortunately with a lot of bristle brushes, sometimes they shed. That was the case with these brushes. Unfortunately, tugging on them ever so slightly released several bristles. The bristles were shorter than I expected (see photos for comparison to another pastry brush I own), and they are not dishwasher safe. They got oily and were difficult to clean because of this.
