The candle that is attached to the "try me" button has a screw in the bottom that must be removed in order to install batteries. Unfortunately the screw has been installed so tightly, that you have to apply a lot of pressure in order to remove it which resulted in a broken candle. The other candle works great and I would buy again if it weren't for the "try me" feature and the resulting frustration.

I bought 3 packs online and could not open any of them. Screw to the battery pack on the tester side is totally stripped. Bought 3 more packs at the store. Same issue. Cannot open even with the perfect sized screwdriver. Had to return again! So frustrating!

I bought these in the store--they are great flameless candles that look realistic and include a remote AND a simpler on-off-timer toggle button. I use the timer so they come on at the same time every evening. They run for a long time in two AA batteries. The big negative is the packaging: one of the candles is wired to a "try me" button in the package. You have to disconnect it to put in batteries and use the candle. But it's not easy: it requires removing a tiny screw with a tiny Phillips head screwdriver. None of mine were small enough so after a month or two I finally borrowed one. Then you have to unplug the little wires and throw those away along with the excess screw and the plastic packaging. Frustrating, and wasteful. Why do they need these try me buttons in the packages anyway? They never work in the store.

These sell out fast I was lucky to get last two boxes in store. They are great for power outtages and mood lighting or just watching TV. No waxy mess or irritating scents and no fire hazard or dirty smoking candle residue on walls. Highly recommend. They should carry these all year long.
Love these candles!has a 5 hr. Timer & comes with the remote, win- win be sure to pull out the piece of plastic in the remote or it won't work ! Super happy with these & great price point for 2 & remo

I've used Luminara candles for years ,but sometimes you just need a glowing candle without the moving wick & 3x3 are very hard to find! Thanks to Target & Threshhold for this great product!
