These chairs were so hard to put together but once we finally got them together they were perfect and very comfortable

I am writing this review because I almost didn't buy these chairs because of what people were saying. It could be that they actually had a bad batch but I did not experience it myself. The misaligned holes and other problems that people were stating is most likely something as it is "engineered" but just not explained properly in the instructions. The reason why I believe it is as engineered is because the holes won't align unless you put pressure on all the pieces while assembling them so that it creates tension which makes the chair feel sturdy. Most of holes were cammed so that it gives you an adjustment when assembling them but the key is to do it in a certain order while all screws are placed in loosely. The instructions were horrible and did not give much detail in what to do but to their defence there isn't much to assembling some chairs. Since I bought 4, I learned on the second one on how to make it easier. Steps I made to assemble the chairs: 1. Its best to start with the seat cushions and the back. 2. Find a place to leverage both pieces so that you take the weight factor away. I used a box. 3. Push the two pieces together with some pressure so the seat back cushion compresses alittle so that the center holes line up and able to accept the screws. Red arrows in my picture. 4. Put in the two screws loosely to keep the two pieces in place and now move the seat back around to line up all the other holes. Red squares in my picture. 5. Put all the rest of the screws loosely and once everything is in, tighten all the screws. 6. Loosely assemble the two halfs of the legs. Blue circles in my picture. 7. Place the whole assembly on the seat cushion. 8. Align the 4 holes and loosely put all screws in. Green circles in my picture. 9. With all screws loosely inserted, adjust the legs to where the screws are sitting mostly in the middle of most, if all of the the cammed holes. 10. Tighten everything and flip the chair around. 11. Adjust the feet of the chair and enjoy. The chair itself is very comfortable and minimistic at the same time. The color beige that I ordered is more of a cross between beige and light grey which worked perfectly for my house. The manufacturer calls this color Cream according to the bottom of the chair. Hope this helps some that were hesistant in buying the chairs due to bad reviews as I was.

I read the reviews prior to purchasing this set so I knew there was a chance I'd experience issues putting them together. Since my husband I knew what to expect, we waited to build these when we had a nice chunk of time. Package arrived quick but when we unboxed the chairs to inspect, we noticed dark oil like stains on both back pieces. Additionally, the instructions specified washers as part of the tools provided, but none were actually included. We called the manufacturer and advised of these issues and without any hesitation they sent us new set at no additional cost to us without needing to return the damaged ones. The replacement chairs had no stains, were in great condition but still did not include washers so we had to buy those ourselves. Now, alignment of the holes when attaching the backs and seats is tricky. I say this is definitely a two person job but both parties will need to be very patient! While I held pieces as closely together as possible, my husband added the screws. On one of the chairs, the metal attachment piece at the base of the back piece was bent up on one side which made it almost impossible to align with the metal piece on the seat and even harder to get a bolt deep enough to reach the threat to tighten. We had to strategically place bolts in order to get the seat and back attached. We had to loosen a few bolts multiple times to be able to get all the holes aligned and even after everything was aligned, we had one bolt that no matter what we tried, it just would not thread. So we ended up just leaving it out. All the other bolts went in and were tighten up so for us it's a nonissue. Overall, we were very happy with the customer service provided and are satisfied with the look, feel and comfort level of the chairs. We've been using them for 2 weeks now and have no issues. Plus they go great with our table.

Lured by the low cost, I purchased these chairs hoping for the best only to be extremely disappointed. I received my order quickly but some of the pre drilled holes didn't line up, and one chair was stained with black marks, and some of the tools that were supposed to be included were missing, so I had to return these.

Not the most comfortable chairs but they do the trick and are a good value for the price.

Comfy chairs and look nice but the worst manufacturing I have ever seen. Ordered 2 sets(4 chairs total) and only 1 chair had the holes line up for the back to the cushion. Not even close. Returned all of them.

The listing makes it nearly impossible to decipher which color is which. The beige looks light grey in the listing but it’s most definitely beige when we got it. After ordering they sent 1 set of the wrong color. The chairs are near impossible to put together and didn’t look very good once built.

Nice looking chairs that are incredibly affordable. Relatively easy to put together by myself. Sears are comfortable with good amount of padding, but I have not sat in it for a long time. I purchased 2 sets but unfortunately I had difficulty placing the screws into the base of 1 out of 4 chairs because the holes for the metal legs wouldn’t match well into the cushion so the screws are too short or the holes got stripped. Target was great to send me a replacement set for free. But had same issues with one of the new chairs. My husband ended up having to use a longer thicker screw and a power tool to fix them.

This set of two dining chairs is stunting, and their plush seats and solid backs make these Project 2 Candelaria Upholstered Dining Chairs very comfortable, and they don't wobble or sway. These Candelaria chairs are also very stylish and sturdy. They were easy to put together and came with all the hardware needed to do the job. I love the color of them in light gray. I love how well these chairs go well with the color scheme I have going on and my decor. They are lovely. I highly recommend this product.

The chairs are really nice and comfortable. But putting them together was a struggle. The holes on the chairs didn’t really line up with the holes on the legs. Took a lot of moving around,struggling and muscles to get them to fit. Definitely took way longer than it should have if the holes were all lined up the right way. Anyway, the chairs look good and seem very sturdy. If you have them on carpet definitely get some carpet savers to the weight of the chairs will leave some imprints even when not in use.

So my husband saw these arrived and thought to put them together and figured they would only take 15 minutes tops. Boy, was he wrong. He personally said to rate these low because of how unnecessarily hard these were to put together. The chair backs have 2 brackets that attach to the seat of the chair and the brackets were bent in a way that would not allow the screws to go into chair seat. That said, our chairs are missing screws because the screws could not reach. It either needs longer screws or the brackets to be bent in a way to actually allow the screws to connect properly. Once he got them assembled, a screw fell out of the chair a week later when my child was sitting on it, so that's not safe. The two good things about this chair, in case I just got a bad set, is that they are more comfortable than a hard kitchen bench once you get them assembled (I know that's not saying much but I gotta give them something) and they have adjustable feet which is nice. So all in all, buyer be aware. Hopefully this helps someone in considering these chairs or not.

I like these chairs. They are simple and sufficient when needing additional dining room chairs. They arrived well packaged. The assembly took a bit, but went together nicely. They are sturdy and just enough cushion to be comfortable.

I love these chairs. The fabric is soft. Putting them together was not easy. I had to have my husband help. We had a hard time getting the holes to line up connecting the back to the seat. After that it was easy. Can't wait to uee them when we have company.
