A: Hey Suzy, Once fully expanded, this topper is easily foldable, but we recommend that once it has been opened and fully expanded, it remain flat and in place. Q: Hi, Do I need to get a mattress pad in addition to the cover provided? Also, I saw a review that this gel topper doesn't really release heat, which lucid product do you recommend (ie. comfort?

A: Hey BT, The cover that comes with this topper is machine washable, so it is easier to clean! However, it is not waterproof, so you would need a different protector if you want that protection. This gel memory foam topper was purchased for my daughter’s dorm room. She found it to be very comfortable, but it was definitely not breathable. She was very hot at night, and it caused her to sweat a lot. We purchased a different brand, and she no longer had that problem.

The gel infusion in your mattress is made to regulate body temperature. However, it does not particularly cool. The sleep experience for each person may vary depending on body type, temperature of the room, sheets used, and personal preference. Like the cover and popped into shape pretty quickly. I also bought the lucid 3inch without covers in full size for other beds and those were not as nice of quality. This one is way better.

When this arrived I opened it to let it deflate and it looked rough, I had little hope that it would inflate because after 12 hours it still looked like I had just opened it up. The insert said to give it 48 hours to inflate and that was all. After about 24 hours it was still looking bad still so I emailed Lucid with a picture to ask if I had gotten a dud. They gave me a bunch of helpful tips that should just be included on the instructions and after some warm air and massaging all of the grooves it popped right up. It was also a terrible pain to get the cover back on after washing but it’s doable. It’s also so short on my kind bed but I will give it some time to see if anymore expansion happens to the foam. It’s comfy and the cover seems like really great quality but I don’t think I’d pay the price for this one again.

it is nice product,i purchased for a dorm.. unfortunately, we open the packaging before we actually needed it, to get a better look at it and to determine if the smell was strong and if it would fade. the smell did fade, and if it was cushy enough, , but not sure how to repack it, contacted company on how to repack so we could store and take to college with out taking up the car.. and was told they do not recommend folding, rolling , basically once placed it should stay there. nothing in the ads says this.. about this.. i was hoping to get a vaccum storage bag for it. and extract the air to make it flatter and smaller . and they said no.. so the big question what do i do with it for transport. and storage until i need it. also it is recommend allow it 48 plus hours to "fluff" after opening, which when moving into dorm.. you can not get in early to allow is and time is limited. so again.. it is a nice product but really consider where you are going to place it. as you can not move it, easily.

I love that this topper is thick and soft however it’s very hot. I keep the air at 65° and with this topper I’m constantly sweating while I sleep. That’s the only thing I dislike

Unfortunately disappointed by this purchase, as I've had egg crates in the past that I absolutely loved. I'm a soft mattress and stomach sleeper and hoped this would soften up my partner's firm bed. I must just not like memory foam because it actually made the bed feel firmer and was uncomfortable for my back. Wish I hadn't purchased this.
