Q: My sound bar randomly turns on and off. And it wouldn’t be an issue except for the extremely loud and obnoxious “power on” “power off”. Why is mine turning on and off randomly when my TV is off? This is my second one and they both have done this.

We are the manufacturer and wanted to reach out with some additional information on top of what the retailer has already answered. Our Hearth & Hand Soundbar is equipped with HDMI-CEC technology, which means that once the soundbar is connected to your TV through the HDMI ARC port that even though the TV is off, any other equipment that is connected to your TV can turn the soundbar on or off when that equipment is turned on or off. We believe that this may be related to the experience that you are having. These announcements are built into the computer that runs your Soundbar and cannot be muted. We are so sorry for the bad experience! Q: Does this sound bar have a bass built-in?

Our 32" Wood & Brass Finish Dolby Digital Sound Bar does not come with a dedicated subwoofer for bass sound, but instead has passive bass speakers built into the sound bar that allows you to have greater control over sound adjustments. On the remote control there is an EQ or Equalizer button that allows customers to control the different pre-programmed sound effects, Music/Movie/Bass/News/Game, or you can press the BASS or TREBLE buttons on the remote to customize your preferred sound output. Refer to the paper instructions in the box for a diagram showing where these buttons are on the remote and instructions on how to use the remote properly. We hope this information helps! I bought this sound bar because it was cute and matched the aesthetic of my room. Bad idea. First of all it has a terribly loud "POWER ON" and "POWER OFF" voice that plays when you turn it on/off which is very annoying. Everytime you turn it on it takes a while to get itself situated and it often glitches. The other day for some reason it made a very loud long beeping noise. It's not worth it at all, the sound isn't even good when it is working properly. I regret buying this.

We even sent our Sound Bar through the extra Dolby Audio certification and passed! So, if you are experiencing sound quality issues the unit may be defective and needs to be exchanged through Target, OR there may be some troubleshooting needed. Just in case you have not returned the Sound Bar yet, let me get into some of that troubleshooting. If the sound is going in and out this points to a weak connection with your television or other device. When using an AUX cord to connect the sound bar and television make sure the two ends are pushed all the way into the television and sound bar. AUX connections are notorious for not being all the way pushed in since they are so much longer than other connections. If connected with an HDMI cable, check the cable is securely in both the television and sound bar, and if you still experience issues then you may want to try another HDMI cord. Also, when connected to a television the master volume on the television and the master volume on the Sound Bar need to be in sync. Many customers find it best to connect the Sound Bar, then using the remote or buttons on the Sound Bar, turn the Sound Bar to its highest volume, and then use the remote control of the television to control the volume. This should give you a nice loud audio output from the Sound Bar. Then use the EQ button to switch between the different pre-programmed sound modes that emphasize different parts of the sound coming from the television, or simply use the Treble or Bass button to make one of those sounds stronger. Not sure what other people are experiencing, but the aux cable from our record player sounds great on this speaker! It even has the subtle crackling sounds of the record player which I couldn't hear as well with my other Bluetooth speaker. I did have to push the aux cable in, maybe that will help others who are having issues with this product. For the aesthetic and price point, I think it's good value. I could see some other more expensive speakers sounding slightly better, but very few of those look as cute, and this is higher quality than many other retro speakers you can find for similar price points. Notably this arrived damaged in shipping because they only shipped it in the original store box without another box or padding outside of that - hopefully they have fixed that issue, or if you can pick it up at the store that might be the best! They helped me resolve the damage issue with ours.

Very excited about the sound quality for the price! After connecting to our TV and adjusting some of the sound settings (bass, treble etc) it’s a striking improvement. We’re hearing a lot more of the detailed quiet sounds that we weren’t hearing at all before! On our main TV we have a Bose surround sound system that was thousands of dollars so we know good sound. We bought this sound bar to give our bedroom TV a boost and so impressed by the sound quality for less than a hundred dollars.

This sound bar is beautiful. The wooden design looks so nice, and is actually a lot more sturdy than it looks. It’s definitely made well. It doesn’t feel too light or low quality at all. It’s easy to get set up and we were able to connect our tv and our Bluetooth devices easily. It comes with a remote that works well and makes adjusting volume very easy. I’ve gotten many compliments on the look of this sound bar. Definitely a great value and worth every dollar.

This sound bar is a stunning piece of technology that duals as decor! The brass ascent finish is subtle yet catches my eye everytime I go to turn it on. I love not having a chunky ugly black bar to look at in my living room. I get compliments on it everytime I have guests over! I will say that the audio can be spotty until you get the right cords and sound settings. Once you do, you are good to go! It is easy to set up using the provided cords and remote you can control it from the comfort of your couch.

Unfortunately the only thing I did like about this speaker is that it looks nice. I could not get past the sound quality and bright red light under the mesh, like mentioned the look is appealing however for the price you can purchase a different speaker with better sound quality, my TVs sound is much better alone so we returned it. If you don’t mind lower quality sound some pros to this sound bar were that it was easy to connect and the volume worked well as it sounded fine higher or lower.

This Hearth and Hand sound bar has a faux wood finish that fits in with my coastal decor so much better than the black electronics. Sadly it is not real wood, it feels more like plastic wood. The sound is decent for this price range. It is easy to plug in and connect via bluetooth and also comes with a handy remote.

Sound is not much better than my cheap TV (which is why need soundbar). Also, the power light is quite large and bright in the front of the soundbar. It’s distracting and for a bedroom is extra annoying. Had to put a post it on it to make it not so bright. And…. Target shipped it in the store display box not intended for shipping. Thus, came with multiple dents and chips. Looks quite cheap. The rose gold accents could be left off from a design perspective.

One star for design, 0 for sound quality. It sounds terrible!! My regular tv speakers are 100x better. Would have much rather payed more for semi decent sound. Bummer since I love the design.

I have never seen a more aesthetically pleasing sound bar. There’s nothing more annoying to me than having a beautiful set up ruined by a chunky black sound bar and this has fixed all of my problems. Not only is a beautiful the sound quality is fantastic and I really think this is bang for your buck
