Q: Are the base and around top of lamp and the stem and ball at top of shade in steel or silver color, can't really tell from picture? Thank you

I have some polished glass from old telephone company/electrical insulators. it is small to large pieces and I am filling the base with this glass. it is turquoise, white and some is blue. I have redone my bedroom in a nautical theme and wanted to use this glass. I am retired telephone company and this glass has great memories associated with it. I am not quite ready to fill them and am still polishing the broken glass. It takes a while to polish it and it looks like beach glass.
