A: Hi - no, the cord is not part of the shade, but the shade is not a traditional spider with a harp and finial. Since the shade hangs down it has an uno style fitter, so you would need to find that kind of shade as a replacement. Thank you for the question.

A: Hi - sure, you can use an LED bulb with this lamp. The lamp's socket can accept up to a maximum 150 watt standard-medium base bulb (not included). A: Hi - the shade is not easily switched on this design, as it is a special downbridge style shade specifically made for the lamp. You could perhaps have the shade recovered, but there is easy replacement option. Thank you for the question.

Less than a year old and the metal frame is sagging. The arm can’t support the weight of the lamp causing it to hang lower and lower each day.

This felt really flimsy when it was assembled. The shade isn’t that heavy but was pulling the lamp down. I wanted the main post coming out of the base to be vertical but it was angling toward the direction where the lamp curved. The shade is nice quality though, does not look cheap. I liked the gold tone as well, and I wanted this to work but it just wasn’t. While assembly was pretty straightforward l, the packaging was rough. The foam was disintegrating as I tried to move it. Everything had tape on it so it was hard to get everything out and there was sticky foam everywhere. What a mess.

Hi - this is an arc lamp, so the pole is designed to arc away from the first section that extends up from the base, but it should be quite sturdy. Assembly instructions could be better. Not real clear. I also found the assembly a challenge. Still not sure I put it together correctly. Did my best given what I had to work with. Looks like the picture, seems to be sturdy. Will work perfectly in the room I purchased it for. Nice looking. Good value. Good size.

It needs a bottom diffuser so it’s not so harsh when hanging above someone. Overall, good looking light and I also switched out the bulb for a softer light.

This product starts to flicker after a week. The light is very dim and doesn’t work. I’ll be retuning this. It also is weird to install, not all the pieces line up or can be screwed together.
