Glue Pulling off the tape on the Roll

Like other reviewers, I too am experiencing the issue of the glue pealing off the tape as I try to pull it off the roll. I tried to cut through the roll to get to the good tape but could not fix the issue. I am returning it to the store. By the way, I chose this 3M product for two reasons: (1) it advertised it was best for all weather; and (2) I generally like 3M products.

The absolute worst duct tape I have ever bought. Would not pull off the roll, and then when it did, it left the adhesive on the layer below it. I would give it zero stars if possible, complete waste of money

I'll admit this tape was left outside in CA for 2 days. It's supposed to be all weather tape. However, the adhesive has separated from the liner. It's unusable now.

Non-stick on cold, dry surfaces

Bought that a year ago, used in all seasons. Overall pretty good, but has a flaw and is not "all weather": it just does not stick at all to any cold surface, not even a perfectly smooth and insanely dry (during winter) painted aluminum post. By cold, I mean surfaces at about -5 C and below (as measured with IR thermometer) which around here means totally everything outside from early December to mid-March. As soon as the tape touches a cold surface, the glue layer instantly becomes non-adhesive. Therefore it can't be applied outside in winter, not even for Christmas decorations (unless you set them up early, in November...). On the flip side, on places I applied it on warmer days (or where I could warm up the surface beforehand), it held on strong through winter, even down to -20 and -25.

Good All Weather Tape

Tarp is still hanging well after 3 weeks of mid winter, wet and snowy weather. Tape does not tear cleanly best to use scissors to cut. Overall I would recommend due to its strength and durability.

It functions okay but definitely was not all weather. We used it with our Christmas decorations outside but it didn't hold as well as we hoped. Ended up using a different product. I would try it again but maybe not outside. I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion.

Very impressive, I also used this tape to hang a dry erase board on a wall in my Bedroom. Though I used significantly more tape than when hanging the lights, the board is still secured to the wall. It doesn’t look as if it’s going to move anywhere (unless I purposely remove the adhesive). I definitely recommend this for heavy duty use.

I do not know if duct tape needs to be applied at a certain temperature or anytime. The previous duct tape there had kind of disintegrated. Tiny, tiny bits of some of the black came off when I was rolling it out revealing little dots of silver, but that is not a big deal. It applied easily. Now I wait & see how well it holds. Hope they make it in ivory color too. Would not be as noticeable in applications.
