Q: do you pop the bottom off and fill with water?

A: Hello, Michelle - The bottom tray is connected to the planter and not intended to be removed. There is a half round indentation on the lower portion of the planter. You can add water to the base at this location or you can add water to the top of the soil. Please let us know if you have additional questions regarding this product. -Denyce

These are such a good value and the self watering feature is very helpful during a heatwave. The wire hanging system is really subtle once they are planted out and hung. 10/10, wish I bought more, @target please bring them back next year!!

I used this pot last summer and loved it because I could fill up the water reservoir and not worry about my plants drying out. But the wires broke after just hanging it up this year. Definitely disappointed in the quality because I really like the other plant pots in this collection.

I purchased 3 to hang some flowers under our pergola but all 3 had one or two wires immediately snap upon putting any soil into the pot. This was prior to watering or planting any of the actual plants, so there was no crazy weight added. I ended up jerry rigging the wire with some zip ties, but I am disappointed with how horribly these were made.

If I could put zero Stars I would. Before I even hung the plants one of the wires popped out I crimped it back together and then as soon as I started to try to hang it the hook broke off and all my brand new plants just fell to the ground so in addition to the waste of money on the planter I now have to buy new plants

Please be careful! These are not well made unfortunately the wire broke and the planter fell on me. I love how simplistic and be these are but they are not safe. Please reconsider and find something stronger.

Pot held my plant nicely and I like the water reservoir but when I tried to hang it, the wires snapped before I even got it on the hook. It was freshly watered so a bit heavy but if I couldn’t hold that in my hand I imagine it would snap off the hook later.

I’ll start off by saying from a design perspective, they are very interesting and when they work do not take away from the beauty of your flowers. Unfortunately, these baskets are hit or miss. The plastic used to make them seems strong enough at first, but once you put soil in, you notice that it bends. Also, the placement of the holes for the hangers do not seem to be the same from basket to basket. If one is a little closer to the other, it throws off the support distribution, making the thin plastic bend even more. I purchased four of them and two work perfectly fine, and the other two buckle horribly.

This is a large simple and nice looking planter. Due to it's size and the thin plastic the pot is made of it bends and buckles when you put the plants in. Thus I removed the handing part and use it as a sitting planter where is serves it's purpose but not my favorite. Would not purchase again.
