It looks nicer than it is. As soon as I opened the packaging and touched the materials I realized this thing is poor quality. I put it together and not only is it wobbly but despite the number of shelves it's oddly small. You can only fit 3 pairs on each shelf and the height of the shelves is such that high tops don't really fit. I wish I could return it and buy something else. I would be less upset if it wasn't on the expensive side — I thought I was buying something kinda nice.

The top is just MDF with a sticker that LOOKS like wood, NOT solid wood! That said… I got it on sale for half price, and it was definitely worth that! It looks good, and it’s plenty sturdy enough to hold several pairs of large adult shoes. They supply everything you need to put together the rest… but you’ll DEFINITELY need a real screwdriver to get the MDF top on properly! A basic stubby manual screwdriver will do fine, you don’t need power tools!
