I was intimidated by all the parts, but the instructions were good, and it was sure nice to have all the hardware separated into marked packs that I could collect for each step. I did get confused as they have you assemble it upside down, and ended up putting the bare fiberboard edge on the shelf facing forward, then after correcting that, and further into the assembly, I discovered I had the whole shelf flat side bare fiber side up! I seriously considered just covering it with wall paper or something just so I wouldn't have to UN assemble yet again! Hey, I'm an almost 72 year old lady who dislikes to assemble things, so cut me some slack! Ha! Once I FINALLY completed the console, it was well worth it! They say about an hour assembly time. Right. Let me know how that works out for YOU! It looks sleek and modern, and feels very sturdy. Plenty of storage, and everything slides/opens and closes like a charm. Should last a long time.
