Super excited to get this umbrella- tried to set it up right away but the umbrella wouldn't open :( Had the hassle of calling to arrange return shipping pickup for a broken on arrival product.

The longest of the ribs prevent this umbrella from being fully closed over table. From ground to the bottom of the long ribs, when closed, is just over 26". My table is 30" from ground to the top of the table. 28-30" is the average outdoor table height. This umbrella is described to solely be used as a table umbrella and is shown as one, but it cannot function as one sold as is. It can only be used with some sort of extension of the pole or elevated umbrella base.
