Q: Is this paint blacklight reactive?

The fluorescent pigments in neon paints absorb the ultraviolet light and emit visible light in return, making them perfect for use under black lights. Texture of the paint makes it difficult to use, it's somehow both thick and gloopy while having very little color payoff and pigment - both color and glow in the dark wise. This does not glow in the dark whatsoever.

Very thin. You should plan on several coats over several days. Dries slowly. One coat is not glow in the dark.

These are way too sheer. Disappointed, and would not recommend. Might work for older kids who have the patience to wait for the paint to dry and layer, but not for my 5 year old.

Full disclosure this was our first time using glow in the dark paints so our expectations may have been too high. We used these on some Halloween craft projects and found that they dried incredibly sheer. Even with multiple layers. Worked fine on paper projects though the vibrant colors in the bottle and were very different than the dried colors. We also tried to use them in pumpkin painting. But even with several thick coats of paint you could barely see a difference. They did glow in the dark ok, but in the light it looked like nothing. I'm sure we'll find a clever way to use them up but we probably won't be buying these again.

these go on very thin as you might expect with glow in the dark paint. Recommend buying the regular or neon sets to use as an undercoat. Glows up pretty well in a dark room. My girls used both sets to paint their bunk bed ladder. The green and yellow ladder steps shown have about 4 coats of the glow paint.

I love the idea of these glow in the dark paints but they are a very thin consistency. We had to apply multiple layers to our project in order to have decent coverage.

I had really high hopes for this item, but it was not too good. The paint hardly glows in the dark. We used a good amount on our picture, not sure if you are supposed to use a huge amount. Nevertheless, failed to meet our expectations.

Great vivid colors. Although to get good coverage a few coats are necessary. Love the no-color option to just add glow-in-the-dark anywhere.

It definitely glows well, and the colours are nice, however it’s very thin and takes a ton of coats to show up well. it will also ruin your paint brushes if you leave it on them (which you shouldn’t do anyway so that ones on me but still, it dries like latex)

Very thin paint. It was really hard to paint anything with any decent coverage. We're hoping the pictures glow well with how hard it was to work with. Not worth $18 for the pack.

A decent variety of colors. I would say the paint is a little on the thin side but it can achieve the results you want if you work with it, my son had fun creating a small canvas painting with it, I think it would be really fun if they came out with some different color varieties of these.

This paint is so cool! I purchased a Mondo Llama can a pad and easel to use with this paint, so my little Picasso can create a glowing masterpiece. My true intent is to get some rocks painted for around the backyard fire pit. The glow is definitely more prominent in the two bottles of “Shooting Star”.

If you are planning on painting rocks, the smooth ones do not work well at all. Does better on rough surfaces. The consistency was a little stringy and watery. We were not that impressed with this paint. We did like the colors that came with it, although I am not sure why there were 2 whites. A neon or turquoise blue would have been cool to swap out one of the whites.

My four children ages 9-3 had a blast painting with these on canvas. Once they dried and we hung them up on the wall they were so excited that they glowed and could see their painting in the dark. The paint brushed on smoothly and dried great.

Super fun! We tried to use these for pour painting but they were a bit too thick to work great. That being said we still made one and the colors are awesome and bright and they glow amazingly! So fun. We’re gonna thin them out and try again but these are going to be an awesome addition to our craft closet!

We bought these paints for our Cub Scout Derby car. They're bright neon - a lot of fun for a kid's project. We're thinking of building a little bird house and using these to paint it. Nice selection of colors -- VERY bright.
