8" Granite Molcajete & Pestle - Figmint™

It's defintely not a real molcajete... there's no "pores" like on a real one but it works until I can get an authentic one.

I was very surprised by the quality of this Granite Molcajete & Pestle. It is solid granite and had no coating (others I saw had chemical coatings) which I loved. It is a great size for a semi-large family as it holds a lot of stuff.

8" Granite Molcajete & Pestle by Figmint™ is really nice. This beautifully made pestle is so easy to use to crush all sorts of herbs and spices to help add magnificent flavors and flare to my favorite dishes! It’s easy to clean and store when not in use. But it also makes a wonderful decorative piece when not in use. I would highly recommend!

Figmint 8” granite molcajete it’s so great to make your favorite salsa with that touch that granite can give, the shape’s pestle makes easy to use and mortar any veggie. I made my favorite guacamole and it was done in minutes, this set is very sturdy and easy to clean. My new favorite in my kitchen!!

This 8in granite molcajete and pestle is super cute and durable. I love the quality of this. It is made so well. Great for grinding ginger and garlic. I use this everyday to grind spices, ginger and garlic. I had to season this before using and after that I get a very smooth and nice texture when I grind my spices. This is great for guacamole. It looks great on my counter top. The size is absolutely perfect for my use. So happy with this.

We have tired several of these from various places in our area, this was a good match in terms of price and usability, plus easy to season.

This is awesome! I didn’t realize how large it was until it was delivered. I was able to make guacamole with 5 avocados in this bowl with some extra room to mix. Washing was a breeze too! After hand washing I placed in a drying rack and it was completely dry within 20 minutes. Great product!

This molcajete is of good quality! I bought it mainly to make guacamole since I do have a tradition volcanic rock molcajete. My husband helped with curing it and decided to make a salsa on it to compare with the v rock one we have. Let me tell you we were both impressed.

Gave it as a gift and they love it!

I’ve been wanting one of these for a while and just fell in love with this set as soon as I seen it. I make salsa often and hate using my Vitamix for it because you get a different consistency. Also, don’t like to use the blender with spicy food because then my smoothies taste spicy. With the mortar I just use some muscle power and boom.. a delicious salsa or guacamole how ever chunky or runny you want it. Definitely recommend this aesthetic set for your kitchen. The mortar is spacious enough, and the pestle is comfortable to use, also comes with instructions on how to properly season it.

Cute design, but it’s made of granite, not volcanic rock. Also, the Mano, or tejocote, is quite large in the hand.

Good molcajete, it being 8” is great

While it’s nice the pestle is stone too, it’s far too heavy and an odd shape to hold. I would not recommend this product

Someone else mentioned the handle, but I actually find it to be a positive rather than a negative. It’s easy to grip and so beautiful. I hope it holds up-it feels much more expensive than it is!

I both like & dislike how heavy it is. It makes it difficult to move around from one spot to another. The shape of the pestle is awkward, making the grip weird. It’s a beautiful item, though. To me, more decorative than it is useful.

I love it, great quality, plus it’s aesthetically pleasing can’t wait to start making my salsa and guacamole

Love this! Stylish kitchen decoration and works great. You do need to season it first.

This is an excellent buy for the money. I wish it were manufactured in a country where this tool originated from, however—as it stands this feels a bit like cultural appropriation.

Super cute molcajete. Love the shape of the pestle. Makes it easy to grab and snitch the avocado.
