Q: Does this clock tick or is it quiet

A: Hi Gigi, Good morning and thank for your interest in our Westclox 9" Simplicity White Wall Clock. Gigi, in response to your question about the ticking noise the answer is yes, this clock does tick. However, the ticking sound is hardly noticeable, and you could probably only hear it if the area where the clock would be located was completely silent. Otherwise, the ticking sound is not loud enough to become annoying to the ear.
