Something very, very disgusting in this rice. I have bought this countless times before and never had an issue besides one time when the packaging was not sealed when I got it home. This is different though. I just microwaved this package as I always do and upon opening noticed some brown stuff at the top of the tear, then looking inside… I don’t even know how to describe this. Expiration date is listed as February 2026 and I just bought this a month ago at most. It was the last package I had from the 4 or so I bought in this one trip.

Terrible flavor, quality, cooking process, and insanely expensive for the crap that it is. It tastes like barely-hydrated cardboard. Worth it to go to a taco cart or restaurant and pay for a side.

Love that with Target’s Good & Gather 90 second rice I can have a quick & healthy meal thrown together with minimal thought and effort. I was disappointed in this rice. Compared to the 90 second basmati or jasmine rice, this is sticky and smells like oatmeal. I ate it with a stew on top and the flavor and texture couldn’t be masked. I’ll be sticking to the basmati in the future.

Before & after microwaving the bag, it reeked of chemicals, plastic, or rubber. After microwaving it, it seriously smelled like a sportswear store. It didn't smell like anything any human or animal should attempt to eat, so I pitched it. I ate the branded microwaved rice-in-a-bag all through college & never once had one smell like that.

I order these and the first one I went to eat came out as a brick of grey and black mold. I almost puked and couldn't work up an appetite afterward. I'm not sure that i'll ever eat pre-packaged rice again, much less one of these!

I keep a few of these in my freezer for when I have leftover meat. It cooks perfectly from frozen in 3 minutes. I don’t know if they’re frozen or refrigerated but I put everything in the freezer and go through as needed. Might try some of the other varieties as this is my first batch. This batch was perfect and the texture of how I make my own.
