i have this kayak and use it about 6 or 7 times. seats are not holding air and the botom chamber is now like a big baloon. The seams exploded. it was not left in the sun and the pressure was always right.

Popped randomly on first use even though we were incredibly careful. It sprung a hole on the upper rim where nothing was touching it, half the boat deflated in the middle of the lake.

Very dissatisfied with this canoe. Bought 2 years ago and been used about 10 times. I've always been meticulous with cleaning before packing up. Noticed the last couple of uses each side is deflating. I have found 4 pinholes one side, 3 in the other and 1 in each seat. No damage is visible even with magnify glass, just looks like faulty material. Intex say they have a 90day warranty so didn't even bother to approach them. I would never recommend or buy this product again.

Good for short term use, bad for long term use

I bought this product as an upgrade from Intex's Explorer K2 as they claim this version is more sturdy and durable. Unfortunately, that has turned out not to be true as I have been patching small holes pretty much since I got it. Now, it seems after just at two years it is done as the interior seam has split open about an inch. I'll try to patch it, but just wish Intex made something that was truly durable. So, not a bad product for short-term use, but don't expect long term use out of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i love thissss. the oars are so easy to put together. it comes with a pump (a manual pump though, tiring) and a giant backpack for the boat as well!! there are more attachments. it honestly has everything one would need. the size is also amazingly unexpected, it’s bigger than other inflatable kayaks in my opinion. quality is also superb.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It shows on the shipping details it was delivered to a totally different address in a while other state. Well, somehow another one still arrived pretty recently. They said it wouldn’t, so was very stoked that it still did!! We have yet to test it out, since we just got it recently, but it looks awesome! We cannot wait to use it this summer!!
Great for beginners!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] * I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.* The Intex Excursion Pro Inflatable Kayak is great for someone just starting out, like myself. You only need to buy some life jackets and fishing poles, because everything else you need is included. Set up is fairly quick and easy with the included pump, and the kayak is lightweight and easy to carry. The included oars seem to be good quality and they work well at controlling the kayak in the water. Though I have only taken the kayak out in the water one time, I can already see that it has been made well and it will hopefully last for quite some time. I have not noticed any leaks or defects at all, and the kayak performed great when put to the test. The only complaint I have is that the included storage bag doesn't seem like it is going to last very long. Not a big deal, I will just have to purchase a different bag for storage purposes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While we have not had the chance to actually put this kayak in the water due to the freezing weather and storms, I can’t even begin to tell you how impressed I am with the quality of this kayak. It is made of such thick material that my daughter has enjoyed just lounging in it inside of our house. It’s also impressive how small everything breaks down - including the oars! This came with a booster seat too which I think will help my younger daughter, a camera mount, mounts for fishing rods, a gauge for filling it properly as well as a manual pump. We used an electric pump just for speed, other than that, we cannot wait to get this in the water!
So sturdy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kayak is so sturdy and big! It’s made with a nice thick material and is made very smart. My husband and son both fit in that with plenty of room.

Intex Excursion Pro K2, has a very slow undetectable leak in the left pontoon. Removed bow and stern bras from kayak for better viewing, have filled with water and soaped surfaces, no indication bubbles. Removed the fill valve and reseated. Will swap pontoon fill values next to see if is changes sides. Hope to get to 5 stars...

The kayak looks sturdy and what I was expecting. The only problem I see if that it won’t fit in the travel bag that came with it. I’ve tried folding it any number of ways but the bag is the wrong size. That’s a disappointment.

Amazing product super simple to get ready and out in the water the only thing I would change is the angle the fishing rod holders sit at , would be nice if they were angled away from the occupant when you have 2 people in the kayak

Quality material - 5 years ago

Pros: -This kayak is made of strong material, it can take a lot of abuse and still hold up, it won't puncture easily. -Carrying handles on the 2 ends work great -Nice that it comes with paddles and a pump Cons: -It's too narrow, I'm quite skinny and I still feel slightly squished in it. -The seats don't have nearly enough support. Most inflatables I've seen are like this, but being Intex's best inflatable model I think they can do better. The seat back easily folds over and collapses if you lean back a little, so it's just not supportive enough to be out for a quarter or half day. They need a rigid bar or panel or something to support the back. -Having 2 outer chambers to fill with air, it would be much better if both chambers went all the way around the boat so that if one fails you won't sink, but 1 chamber is the left side, 1 is the right side, so if one fails you'd probably sink, or close to it. -You can't blow more air into the valves without the pump they provide, and it's a pain to carry that in the boat with you, so when you're out in it, if it needs more air, there's nothing you can do. -The paddles are low quality, doesn't bother me though. Overall it's a good boat, worth the money, but a few changes would make it a whole lot better.

I am so impressed with this product! I don't know much about kayaks, but after a bit of research I zeroed in on this one, and I'm so glad I did. It is durable, easy to inflate, and super comfortable for two people. Just enough room for storage, even with fishing stuff. I wish the seats were made of a different material, as we poked one with a fish hook on our first outing and will probably have to replace it... but that's user error and not a flaw in the product. Thank you for making it possible for me to head out on the water with my kids, at such an affordable price!

This is perfect for an RVer easy set with the addition of a small electric pump, easy storage- fits in my large compartment under my RV. I have two traditional kayaks but they are difficult to transport and take up way too much room-this is the perfect alternative.

I have a couple of Intex Mariner 3 boats so I bought one of these kayaks to float a river. I have floated this river several times using hard shell kayaks, so I have some experience with kayaks and the river. Getting the kayak ready to use was fairly easy. I set this up to uses as a single person kayak. Shorty after getting started I knew I had made a mistake. This kayak doesn't track well at all, doesn't respond well when trying to turn, drifts sideways, and takes way to much effort to paddle, and the backrest is practically worthless. It also doesn't do well with even a small amount of wind as you will be blown way off course or even backwards. You might have the same control as if you paddling an air mattress. It was awful. I will never use this again. If you still want one, you can have mine. However, the quality of the materials is quite good and looks kind of cool. Also, the paddles are way to short. Save you money.

On the third use had a hole so one tube didn't want to hold air. You would think it would be on the bottom from rocks or dragging it but it was on the upper part of the left tube at the back so probably the last place you would expect. Kind of useless now when you are worried about going more than a few hundred feet from where you launch just in case it springs another leak.
Great Except for the Velcro

I love this kayak so far. No issue. 55 pumps in each chamber and ready to go. BUT the velcro to attach the seat to the bottom of the boat is set up bass ackwards. Why put the harsh side of the velcro facing up. No matter how you place the seats it will not be completely covered. I've already scratched my leg and ruined a brand new bathing suit. If I had seen this kayak in person I WOULD NOT have purchased. This may sound petty but why not put the rough side on the under of the seat where it won't be a nuisance? I'll go out and buy a strip of velcro to cover it but I shouldn't have to modify a boat of this cost and otherwise overall quality. Disappointed!
