Don't use to much unless you like your hairy a bit crunchy. Otherwise your hair will look very decent looking, shiny and curls soft not frizzy. I have curly to wavy hair. I'll also mention let hair completely air dry otherwise it will look flat. I hope this helps.

Still boycotting 2 1/2 years after you changed your formula to this soft curls crap. Was a user of your Curl defining mousse and your Classic Shampoo/conditioner for 30 plus years.... still waiting for you to bring the old formula back... smh 😔 (I changed to Paul Mitchell btw, works great!)

This stuff is horrible. After decades of using Pantene mousse the company decided to change the formula and pull the products that work. I have very hard to manage hair and Pantene has ruined my ability to maintain it like I use to with the mousse they pulled without warning. So rude and inconsiderate, and they replace it with this crap that doesn't hold hair at all.

This is a product I use to air dry my hair when I want a softer hold. I just wring my hair out a bit and work some of this through my hair. Then I air dry my hair and voila it’s like magic.

We recommend using a richer conditioner and/or a conditioning treatment 2-3 times a week, using more conditioner on the ends of your hair, leaving the conditioner on your hair for up to 5 minutes, and/or using a leave in conditioner instead of one you rinse out to help retain moisture in your hair. AWFUL. I used this for 20 years and now it’s terrible. Can’t find anything close to what it used to be. I will never buy Pantene again. The new formula makes my hair frizzy.

I’ve been using this mousse for a few years and love it. It leaves my 3a-b curls soft and controls frizz. Best of all — it washes out without using shampoo. Poo free for years and I love it.

I used the curly mousse for literally decades. Then they changed the formula and it’s awful. Pantene thinks they can trick us by giving “influencers” free product to say it’s good. The company clearly doesn’t care about actual customers. I do still miss the original formula, which actually worked really well. What they have now is just a sticky mess that makes my hair frizzy. If you ever respect is enough to give us back the product we like, let us know.

I would give this a ZERO if I could. These influenster reviewers have received free products. If you go back on these reviews you will see extremely long time users of their old product who are exyrmely unhappy with this new product. Take the reviews from ones who got it free with a grain of salt. Trust a 30 yr user of their old product and know that this new "soft curls" is a bunch of crap. Ive boycotted ALL Pantene products since they changed to this new formula and will continue to do so unless they bring the old mousse back. Try Paul Mitchell styling foam. Its the next best thing for those who are not happy with Pantene.

It doesn’t hold a curl or keep frizz at bay. I miss the old formula so much 😫 I’ve switch to Aussie Volume Mousse since it’s the closest to the old Pantene formula I’ve been able to find.

After 15 years of using the Defined Curls Mousse (hold 5) and this is the rubbish product they replace it with. The old product gave me a crisp cast and when I scrunched it out it released beautifully bouncy curls with ringlet ends. The new product gives me limp flyway frizzy waves with no curl definition whatsoever. I live in Ireland and currently use Umberto Giannini Curl Whip Mousse, it's definitely not as good as the old Defined curls Mousse but it's doing an ok job - it doesn't give me a strong cast. But I refresh with the curl jelly gel of the same brand and this gives me a strong cast which I scrunch out and great definition. If anyone finds a good replacement for the old Pantene please name it here and we ll help each other through this!
