I wish I had checked reviews before buying this. It smells gross. And not because it’s an overdone perfume type smell, it smells off. Like something rotten. I cannot believe they would intentionally make something have this scent. It’s not super strong, but it’s just not a good smell. I keep catching whiffs of it 😩

I use this one my curly headed children! I absolutely love this mousse for them and will be buying again. It works specifically on one of my fine haired curly headed boys. The mousse is nice and heavy and defines the curls perfectly.

I got the trio as a gift for Christmas. I used all three of them together for a couple of washes and I would notice a foul smell throughout the day. I realized the smell was coming from me and my hair, and I pinned it down to the mousse. The curl cream and gel smells like a dream, but the mousse smells spoiled.

Curly Girl Approved ingredients! I haven't used this a ton, because I've only been doing wash days about twice a week, but it doesn't seem to weigh my fine 2A medium porosity hair down too much. I'd definitely suggest using a clarifying shampoo every 3-5 wash days to avoid buildup, since this does contain polyquaternium-46 (a polyquat), which helps with texture, but can cause buildup.

I love the Activating Curl Talk Mousse, but the nozzle design is clearly defective. On my counter sits 2 of them with a broken nozzle. Please, please work on this design! It is my favorite mousse but I can’t keep buying cans and having this happen. If it wasn’t for the nozzle I’d give it 5 stars!
