A: Based on my own experience with sourdough breadmaking, I wouldn't opt for this bowl if I had a choice. Sourdough can be wet; harsh on wood finish over long periods of fermentation or refrigeration

A: Hello - Awesome question! It is NOT recommended in general to serve liquids in wood bowls as wood is porous and prolonged liquid exposure can cause the wood to dry out faster over time which can lead to cracking. Hot liquids would be even less recommended. It’s best to stick to dry items or something low moisture like a salad. We hope this is helpful. Have a great day! - Bri

This bowl is GREAT quality. It is versatile and can compliment many types of decor. I was using for my fruit however I have now incorporated it into my holiday decor. The bowl is solid and thick. It is smooth and the flow of the wood is beautiful

I absolutely love this serving bowl. The pictures do not do justice to how pretty it is. The wood finish is beautiful, timeless and sturdy. It is also generously sized. I plan to leave it out displayed on my kitchen table. It’s too pretty to put away!

This is a beautiful bowl I enjoyed using for everything from baking to popcorn to salads. But sadly, like others, mine split after only a couple of months of use. I left it overnight soaking to clean in the morning and it split all around the bottom seam. I use multiple other wooden bowls (include another one I got from threshold years ago) and never had this problem from soaking. Shame as it was a useful size

There were more than one of these bowls in the store and I did notice they were not all made the same. They had different patterns to them but this one felt thicker. With that said they were all nicely made. I gave away my wood salad bowl some years ago and did regret it. Nice to have a new one.

Looks nice, poor quality. The wood has gaps between some of the pieces and is not smooth. Definitely will snag a towel and perhaps your hand. Worst part is there are several cracks on the bowl, not where the pieces connect. Purchased as pickup. Maybe some bowls are worse than others but would not recommend.

My in-laws loved this gift for their new place! They use it regularly and people compliment them on it all the time. If you are looking for a housewarming gift, this is perfect. Both bowls I picked up were cracked. One had an over 4” crack at the top and I returned it. The second bowl looked fine until I tested it for leakage after reading reviews. Water leaked out of a crack at the bottom. Would not recommend.
