Something changed last year, I used to get these in bulk whenever on sale and when I purchased again last year I could tell the texture of the pad seemed different and they weren’t as effective. I have tried other products trying to find another solution to find nothing I liked more than the original pads, and have even came back to these and am disappointed in the pad. In between products again, I really want to purchase these again which prompted me to write the review, I am still actively seeking a better product so I don’t think I can recommend.

I have been a long standing fan of the eye makeup remover pads, but the last few tubs that I have bought have been unusable. They sting and burn my eyes. I initially thought it was just one container, but I have tried another two with the same result. Very disappointed

I used these last night for the first time. As I started to remove my eye makeup my eyes started to burn. What is that horrible strong smell. Sickening. I immediately had to wash my eye area. My eyes burned for several hours and I got one of the worst headaches I have ever had. How can a product like this be sold.

Smell like nail polish remover. I actually had to double check the first time I used it that it wasn’t acetone wipes. Pads are very thin and small. I would have to use 6 each time to remove all my eye makeup. Not for me.

I used these for years with no problems but since they introduced the micellar biodegradable ones-my eyes burn a lot. I have to keep a wet washcloth near me when I am removing my make up because it starts burning. It’s not always the same intensity though so not sure if the exact amount of all ingredients are in all the packages. But I agree with other people, please offer the OG option because i really loved these but I can’t handle the burning

I do not like the new formula. I’ve always been able to trust Almay products for my sensitive skin. Sadly no longer can I use this new formula. It burns and stings my eyes.

I’ve used these pads for years, and loved them, but the reformulated biodegradable pads burn and seer my eyes soo badly! The old pads never did that. I checked the ingredients, and I was surprised that there’s alcohol in pads that go on the eyes and are marketed as gentle. (This was first brought to my attention on other websites, by other reviewers, when I was trying to make sense of the severe burning). Please bring back an option of the old/classic pads for those of us who adored them and experience severe burning from the new ones.

Not clear why micellar water was introduced into this product since it really really stings my eyes now! You changed main ingredient but called it the same product?? I tried the non micellar water gentle liquid eye makeup remover with my own cotton pads—stinging is much less. What worked well were the already moistened pads which are now no longer. PLEASE bring them back!!!! Sorry but this 20 year customer will have to find a new brand unfortunately….
