It is loud, but after just over a year the battery doesn't hold a charge. My phone said it was at 60% battery but the speaker just dies and turns off. After 30 minutes with 60%

Bought this for us to use on our boat. Great sound and battery lasts pretty long. Love the wireless phone charger on top the speaker. Only down side it drains the battery faster when using the charger.

Pros: great sound, funky lighting, waterproof and can be used as a phone charger Con: after just over four weeks of owning the product it stops working, won't charge, won't turn on, I sort it has become and expensive brick. great little product, but it has to work and reviewing other comments on this page and those on the companies website this his a common issue and has been for some time. 4 stars for value (when it works), 1 star for quality and reliability (and that's being generous)!!

Really wish I read all these reviews. This was my first Altec Lansing purchase and definitely disappointed, the Hydrablast speaker stopped charging around the 6-month mark. Tried every solution possible, the outlet and USB-C cable both power and charge other devices so I know that’s not the issue. Checked for dust or lint in the DC port and that’s clean, even tried to use the USB out to charge another device while keeping the DC-in plugged into a power supply, the redirect doesn’t work either... Never in my life had a Bluetooth speaker die out so quickly, usually go with Samsung or Bose and still use their speakers/headsets for over 3 years and those are still going strong. At this point I’m disappointed I’m stuck with a $100 paperweight, worst decision ever.

They will quit charging right around the year or year and a half this is my 3rd speaker I really do Like them sound good but it won't charge if it's plugged in it works as soon as you unplug it it's dead I've had 3 of these and a hydra jolt enough is enough and customer service is crap also don't waste your money

Save your money and take your business elsewhere. We just had a Hydrablast speaker stop working out of the blue after a year and a half of in home use- no exposure to all of the things it’s supposed to be rugged enough to endure, so I have a hard time believing their products actually withstand what they advertise. Find another company that stands by their products longer than a year- you work too hard for your money to waste it here. Our Bose speaker has been going 6+ years strong- this speaker isn’t worth the money.

The speaker sounds good but would never hold a charge without being plugged into USC. The other port never worked to charge it at all. Now it will not charge at all. it is @ 6 months old. I called the number listed and received not assistance.

This is the 4th Altec Lansing waterproof speaker we have bought. Our first is 10 years old and still works as good as the day we bought it and hods charge forever! I highly recommend any of their speakers. The lights and wireless charging option are a nice addition to this.

when I bought this item I thought it sounded really great (in the store). Hoever, when I used this at home ai was not impressed at all. The sound was muffled and dull , not dynamic at all. plus there were many times when this speaker would lose sound for a second or two.
