Amazfit is better than Apple Watch (price & functionality)

My Watch History: 2 years into owning an Apple Watch I had to charge the Apple Watch nightly. I used to average around 14,000 steps with my Apple Watch. The mileage matched my treadmill runs. Suddently without warning my Apple Watch died on the overnight charge. I was so upset with the Apple Watch dieing, I figured I would look into a more economical/reliable alternative. I then purchased the Bip 3 Pro to replace the dead Apple Watch. The Bip 3 was a great replacement! The battery lasted “1 week” (not just 1 day like Apple). The outdoor walking mileage tracking was fairly accurate. The only concerns I had with the Bip 3 Pro: 1. It did not come close to matching my treadmill mile tracking. (like 50% wrong) 2. My average steps was only around 11,000 (not 14,000 like I was getting with Apple). The Bip 3 Pro is still working fine today with a weekly charge. I recently purchased a Bip 5 to see if the “steps” and treadmill miles matched the watch a little closer. Other than that I very pleased with the Amazfit watches****** Thank you, John

Easy to use but data quality concerns

I was able to intuitively use the watch to map a run and like the default configuration where a voice notifies me when I've completed a mile and what my pace was. Unfortunately, the GPS data itself shows a sharp triangular (and physically impossible) jag into a neighborhood across the street from the trail I ran on. This additional distance went to Strava, making my pace inaccurate there. Since this is the only functionality I need from the watch, it's worrisome to see immediate bugs.

I tried this watch for 3 days and absolutely couldn't stand it! Not only was it super laggy, the step counter was going up with me just standing in place or shaking my wrist! I truly think this watch belongs in a dollar store not high end stores because thats what you are getting with this watch! I DO NOT RECOMMEND GARBAGE AMAZFIT PRODUCTS WHATS SO EVER! Do not buy this garbage!

It has so many features, reads better than my previous model (bip 3 pro). It seems to be much more accurate too. I wish it was waterproof, so I could track my fitness in the pool, but I also have a gtr 4 mini which can do that, so I have the best of both worlds. I love the games that you can download and all the watch faces. The GPS works awesome too! All in all it's a fantastic watch, and the price point is unbelievable for how amazing this watch really is.

Well Designed and Full-Featured

Bip 5 is a very good smartwatch. Obviously, a lot of thought has gone into its design and everything works. I like the accuracy of the GPS. The watch overstates total steps taken but less so than other smartwatches. I think it understates awake time but less than other smartwatches overstate it. The display is large and easy to see (even outside) and touch. I like its comprehensive set of features and that I see the basic ones right on the watch. My first charge went to 15 % in ten days with five hours of GPS use; the second is down to 50 % after seven days with an hour of GPS. I hope it lasts for at least five years and wish it was available with an all-metal case.

It doesn’t just cover sporting activities. It’s the other features that are great as well. Also, like the way the band tucks under and doesn’t come loose with long sleeves.

I bought this to replace my band 7. The face is larger and easier to read. It also has gps and a better watch band. That’s where the positives end. My band 7 does a better job recording my sleep and my workouts. I thought I was upgrading my fitness band. I’m disappointed. I’ll be returning to using my band 7. The gps connected through my iPhone anyway and was more accurate.

First ever smart watch and it's better in comparison to the pricier ones just because it has a lot of options that the others have and it works well. But last night I was sitting down writing a paper for my class and it told me to get up and walk around because I was sitting for over an hour. And then it told me to be concerned because I slept for 11 hours. I was laughing so hard.

Amazing Battery and a Big Screen.

I'm coming of a Fossil Gen 6 Smartwatch with an OLED screen and Amazfit Bip 5 blows it out the water with this one in comparison. Battery life is amazing, my previous watch needs to be charge on a daily basis and it would run out of juice 70% into the day. It's only an LCD screen in comparison but the peak brightness and colors look more vibrant on this watch as well. Both watches use Amazon Alexa for your daily task but the factuality, speed and accuracy as far superior then that of a 350–400-dollar smartwatch. The fitness tracker is on point as well. It's as accurate as my previous Fitbit Sence smartwatch as well. The only drawback I would have to say is the lack of texting. I'm hoping for a software update might fix that issue but everything else is Amazing.

So this watch does not stand up to an apple or a Samsung watch in any way shape or form it's a cheap knockoff and if you want that and you like that then I guess go for it otherwise save your money and get a better watch that's going to last longer and has more features and is not well frankly it was cheap and yucky. Sorry. And by the way someone stole my Samsung watch so I had to purchase one on the fly I just got the wrong one I guess.
