A: Hello Beach123, the Blink Doorbell does work with Alexa but it is not required. Using an Echo or Echo Show device you can answer your door via voice. An Echo Show will allow you to see the camera and talk to the person at the door. You can also set up the devices to chime anytime someone comes to the door. Hope that helps, have a great day!

A: Blink had stopped manufacturing the original Sync Module years ago. The pictured Sync Module is a 'Sync Module 2'. All devices are backward compatible, so if you have a spare original Sync Module, this Doorbell along with any other Blink device would still be able to pair to it. Otherwise, you would simply use the included Sync Module 2.

This device comes with a 30 day free trial to Blink's cloud storage service which allows you to store video clips as well as Live View video clips for easy viewing on the Blink app. After the free trial the service runs $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year for the service. It is not required though to use as you can always view Live View and get alerts on people ringing the doorbell or motion alerts, it just does not store video clips in the cloud storage without the subscription. Also, the Sync Module that this particular model has, does allow for local video storage using a USB thumb drive (sold separately) that can store videos locally. This feature does not allow for recording of Live View feeds but will store video clips recorded after detecting motion or doorbell rings. Using this Sync Module also lengthens the battery life from up to 1 year to up to 2 years if you use it with the doorbell. I hope this answers your question and that you have an awesome day!

It will also allow for you to connect a USB Flash Drive (Sold Separately) to be able to store motion clips without needing the Blink Subscription.
