A fine, if unexciting faucet

This faucet is fine. IOt works. It looks nice. I bought it to replace another brand that had a bad cartridge. Had a plumber tell me the other brand wasn't of great quality and not worth repairing, so just replace. I bought an American Standard because of their lifetime guarantee, and we had installed 3 other AS faucets in the house and I remember doing legwork to make sure what we were buying was good quality at that time. So after I made the purchase, I emailed customer service to find out about getting replacement parts for 2 of the 3 older faucets that were getting stiff. Turns out they needed to have been registered, or I needed to provide a receipt. I can prove I've lived in the house for 20 years, but I don't have a receipt, nor were the faucets registered upon purchase. So I'm out of luck. But do you know who sent me a new part without blinking (even with no receipt or registration)? That's right - the other company. sigh I guess not all lifetime guarantees are made equally.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I unboxed the Chancellor faucet, I was quite happy with the heft and sturdy feel. The high quality was evident in the fit and finish. The faucet features clean lines and styling that's reminiscent of fixtures from the 30's and 40's, but is equally at home in more modern bathrooms, as well. I actually installed it in a guest bathroom that features some industrial decor. The faucet handle action is smooth and and I especially like the "speed connect" drain mechanism. It's so much easier to work with, than the old lever-style linkages. The install was easy and the included directions were clear and easy to follow. The plate on the bottom of the faucet was nice for a quick installation, but older porcelain sinks that aren't quite flat might still need plumbers putty to make for a good seal. Overall, this is a great faucet for the money, and a wonderful compliment to almost any decor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this faucet to replace existing delta in my wife's bathroom. The brushed nickel finish took her a while to get used to, which is the reason for the 4, not 5 stars given. Otherwise this faucet is great. Quality seems to be A+. Appears very durable. Cleans easily, pressure is good, flow/stream is narrow and directional.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent faucet that is really easy to install. All you need is a pair of plyers, channel locks and a screwdriver. I replaced the faucet in my moms bathroom without a hitch. The drain setup has to be the easiest setup ever. The stopper itself was also easy. There's no need to move the rod and screws to make sure everything lines up properly. You just screw in the adapter and you're done. The brushed nickel looks really nice also. It is low pressure but doesn't seem to be a problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just installed this faucet, it took me about 20 minutes to get the old stuff out and then cleaned up the sink with CLR. Anyway, I put the new drain assembly but the foam wasn't wide enough to adequately seal around the hole in the sink so I added a layer of plumbers putty before installing the drain. After that, time for the usual drive to the local box store for appropriate length water lines. As I'm a little picky, I added plumbers putty around the bottom of the faucet gasket, pushed down on it then headed underneath to tighten the attachment nuts. I hooked up the new waterlines and all went well, then attacked the waste water connection. For my installation the drain assembly was too long for the J-trap so the other side wouldn't line up with the pipe coming out of the wall...I finally got it hooked up but will be picking up the parts I need to correct my waste connection. All in all, it took maybe 5 minutes to install the drain assembly...probably 20 minutes to install the faucet and waterlines. The waste connection took about 10 minutes to temporarily get working without leaks...as I said, I'll correct later. The stopper works on a cable assembly...I love it compared to the old strap style connection to the stopper from the lever. I also like the height of the spigot from the bottom of the sink.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed the Chancellor faucet and like the modern-classic look it has. The brushed nickel finish is also great because it doesn't show water spots. The best part of this faucet was the amazingly simple installation. The instructions were clear and well written and no plumber's putty was required! I had this installed in about half an hour. The design is clean and simple and the installation was a breeze!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed this faucet and it looks great. The lever handles are solid but easy to turn. The only problems were: The pop-up assy was shorter than the Delta pop-up that I was replacing and I had to pick up an extension for it to reach the J-Bend.Also, while the drain speedy connect work great, I bumped it ever so slightly and it fell off the drain body. I had to re-attach it. Just wondering what a home owner would do if they tapped it and it fell off. Maybe a few more threads on the speed connect ftg would help.
