Q: Does this disolve completely in cold water?

A: Thank you for your question, Volvagia720. This concentrated formula contains many cleaning and stain removers that work in all temperature including cold water. If you live in an area with extreme cold temperatures and moisture, this can cause solubility problems. We recommend you start by running water in your washing machine, add detergent, and then add your clothes.

Two days before a cross-country move, I'm actually taking the time to review this awful detergent to help all of you avoid it! 1) Low suds? NO--I used 1/3 recommended amount and it sudsed all the way to the top of the barrel (not an HE washer either). Add one more thing to my pre-move cleaning list -- clean dried on detergent crud off the washing machine. 2) The detergent creates hard little clumps rather than dissolving. After washing, you'll need to find the clumps and possibly re-rinse the clothes. 3) This created cloudy white spots all over my black jeans (had to re-wash). First and LAST time I ever buy this -- I only bought it because I thought it would be safer to transport powder during the move -- but it's going in the trash, not the moving truck!

Purchased this three months ago and I’m already out. I do three loads a week. 12weeks x 3 - is not 130 loads! Also, the price went from 14.99 to 16.99 in those three months! It’s cleans well but not worth it.

Even the musky scent of clothes accidentally left in the washer overnight just needs to be washed once w/ this Arm & Hammer detergent and the odor is gone! Believe me, when I’m too tired and forget to put laundry in the dryer, clothes don’t come out smelling moldy when using Arm & Hammer. But when using other brand name detergents, if I forget for even a couple of hours, I’ve tried to rewash the same load several times w/ various combinations of Tide detergent, Downey Rinse & Refresh, and different brands of scent beads but the musky odor remains. I’ve saved so much time & money since sticking to this more affordable brand!!! I rarely have time to write reviews but this has been long awaited and deserves recognition from a busy mom. Extremely happy to say that there’s no more extra cost in water, electricity, and so-called odor-removing agents when rewashing laundry since I found this Arm & Hammer magic powder!!! Stop reading now and just purchase it😉

This detergent would be fine for white clothes but for anything dark color, it fades the color and leaves spotting stains on your clothes making them unwearable cause it looks like someone threw bleach on them. Unfortunately many of my dark colored clothes got damaged and will have to toss them out

I love the “Fresh Scent” of this powder detergent. I always use this powder detergent for any warm/hot water items such as bedding, towels or pet items. It leaves a nice smell that my liquid detergents do not & I don’t like using dryer sheets with my linens. I’ve been using this for ~ a decade. I hope Arm & Hammer never stops selling it & especially the Fresh Scent :)

I love this detergent! It gets out grease, oil, body oils, detritus, and even pet odors. My husband is a general manager for a TexMex restaurant chain; so the amount of oil and grease that he has on clothing is insane. However, this detergent makes his clothes soft, comfortable, and really clean. It doesn’t fade out dark clothes or alter colors in anyway. We also have two cats and this gets smells out of clothing, bedding, and rugs. Can confirm it stands up to cat pee, our youngest was spayed and got a UTI after which sometimes happens. Poor thing had some accidents but this got any trace of the smell and enzymes out. Definitely add this to your laundry rotation and you won’t be sorry!
