Q: I see that this cooker has a "keep warm" function. Does it eventually shut off automatically? I'm looking for one that has an auto-shut off for a dorm room.
A: Be sure you can have a rice cooker. Most you can’t.

Q: Can you keep the rice for days on this rice cooker? And ruce nit easily spoil the next day?
A: Cooked rice can be kept in a rice cooker for no longer than 10-12 hrs, but ideally refrigerated or frozen ASAP to prevent bacterial growth and food poisoning. I’ve frozen cooked rice in personal serving size balls(or somewhat flattened balls)wrapped in wax paper and put into a sealed plastic bag then frozen. These can be reheated in a microwave on high for 1-3 minutes (depending on the wattage of your MW). Use same principles of food safety with rice as with anything else.
submitted byFace masks - 3 months agoA: Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us. We do not recommend to leave the unit on for an over extended period of time. Though we have the warm function, it is designed for a short period of time as it maintains a temperature of approximately 149*-167*F. If rice is left sitting it will start to brown. Should you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to call our customer service team. They are available M-F from 8:30am-4:30pm PST and can be reached at 1-800-276-6286.
