Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer was a cute start to the series. There was great character development throughout the book and I liked seeing the characters grow. The animals of myth and lore in the book may have been my favorite part. Kingsley hands down provided much needed comedic relief. Maehrer’s writing created emotional connections to characters on both sides of the spectrum. Some I loved and would be devastated to see anything happen to while others I loathed to their core. Overall I had a hard time staying focused on the book and found myself switching between this series and another. I will definitely be reading the next book in the series and I look forward to its release.

The listing shows the book with sprayed edges, and it is described as such. However, I got a regular copy of the book, which is disappointing. I would have ordered elsewhere to get the copy I wanting but now it's too late, and it's sold out everywhere. Ither then the product description being incorrect the Book itself came in good condition and arrived quickly.

I really like the atmosphere and setting of this book! The cliffhanger was DEVASTATING as I have to now wait until August for the next book! I hope the next installment resolves it quickly and there isn't another one!

This was such a good book even though it is super hyped up I can’t wait for the next book and to see her change. I would like to see more romance which I think we can all predict in the next book considering all that happens between them. This book is worth buying if you want to have a thrilling fantasy with some romance, I also finished this in one day.
