My Favorite of the Series
5 out of 5 stars

At Lighthouse Point by Suzanne Woods Fisher is the third book in the Three Sisters Island series. I have loved each of these books, but Blaine's story is my favorite. I fell in love with her journey to Paris, how she found herself, her passion, and her faith. And I loved Jean-Paul, her friend she brought home from Paris. He was a quiet comfort and always there when he was needed most. He had a way of both convicting and encouraging whoever was sitting beside him. He was one of my favorite parts of the story. But my absolute favorite was watching Blaine find her place on Three Sisters Island and dive headfirst into her dreams. As always, the Grayson family is full of conflict, secrets, and surprises. They are far from perfect, but their desire to stay close even as they grow into lives of their own pulled my heart into the series. I've enjoyed getting to know them all with each book. And I love the island! I wish I could visit and have tea (not coffee!) at Peg's cafe. The locals always ad charm to these stories, and the scenery will take your breath away. The only thing I wish differently was for the romance between Artie and Blaine to have had a more central role in the story. I waited so long to read their story, and I guess I just wanted to see more spark between them. But I still enjoyed their reunion. Overall, this was a great series for me. They are perfect beach reads! Any fan of contemporary Christian fiction would enjoy these stories! I was given a copy of this book by the publisher with no expectations of a positive review. All opinions are my own.

I was very excited to read this new book in the “Three Sister’s Island” series! I enjoyed the others so much! The family has settled on the island and it has become their home. Paul is still working to develop Camp Kicking Moose into a success. Blaine has graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Pairs and returns home excited and anticipating making her dreams come true by turning the camp fine dining destination. Many surprises await her, come good and some not so good. Her sisters are both married and pregnant. They have settled into comfortable lives and work. She is forced back into the reality with her family, the business and life on the island. Blaine is not prepared for some changes her family lovingly with her in mind. They are equally surprised with a Frenchman named Jean Paul she brings home with no explanation of who he is or why. I love this family! They are so real! Their interactions, drama, misunderstandings bring them to life. With all of them, under one roof, it gets quite chaotic. Add to the mix Blaine, Jean Paul and out of the blue Paul’s Dad shows up. Each one has their own problems and struggles to work through some very serious. Their love and desire to make the relationships succeed was refreshing. No matter what their struggles they always worked it out. I could relate so much with Maddie and her fears and anxiety concerning her husband Rick’s health issues. While I was happy to see many of the characters from previous books, the new one, Jean Paul was my favorite. His ability to listen with his ears and his heart drew me to him. I wish I could talk to him! He inspired me to become a better listener. I liked the way he always directed them to God. His saying, “Pray and release”, will stay with me in my life! His mishaps while sad are hilarious. The author’s descriptiveness of the gorgeous scenery was beautiful. I love nature. The best part of the book was that through all the problems, heartaches, and even frightening events, the characters always turn to God for their strength and guidance. I understand this is the last book of this series, but I so hope Ms. Fisher will write JUST one more! I received this book from Revell Publishing in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated are my own.

Welcome back to Three Sisters Island, ME, and another visit with Paul Grayson and his three grown daughters. (I was thankful for the character list at beginning of this book. With the books in the series a year apart, it can be hard to remember who's who.) At Lighthouse Point, #3 Three Sisters Island, by Suzanne Woods Fisher is very enjoyable as it focuses especially on Blaine’s return to the island, yet we see Cam and Maddie maturing in their marriages and the dynamics of the family as a whole. There are so many character developments or relationships examined, that the flow of the storyline is wonderfully robust and busy from every angle. With healthy doses of faith that are spoken in Woods’ trademark profound but easy-to-understand style, this book is the perfect conclusion to The Three Sisters’ Island series. Woods even surprised me a few times with her twists and turns. I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher through Celebrate Lit via NetGalley and LibraryThing Early Reviewers. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.

At Lighthouse Point is the third book in the Three Sisters Island series, and it's a wonderful way to catch up with the lives of the Grayson family. This is such a lovely book, and author Suzanne Woods Fisher has once again created a story filled with faith, trust, love, and family. She realistically shows both the strengths and weaknesses of her characters, and I would love to be friends with Paul Grayson and his three daughters. Engaging characters, an intriguing plot, and a beautiful setting. What more could you ask for in a book? At Lighthouse Point is an inspiring and entertaining read, and I recommend it to all who enjoy contemporary Christian fiction. This book was provided courtesy of Revell through Interviews & Reviews and NetGalley.

I have enjoyed reading this series and getting to know the three sisters and watching them mature and evolve, along with the little town. This story mostly focuses on Blaine returning to the island in hopes of opening a restaurant. She brings her friend Jean Paul who continues to have hilarious and unfortunate mishaps throughout the entire book. I liked reuniting with previous book characters like Peg and Captain Ed. Of course with having three sisters they are bound to have family drama and miscommunication, but I like how they figure things out and eventually smooth things over. This book also includes flashbacks when Blaine was younger which was interesting and helped readers understand the struggles she currently faced emotionally. I really enjoyed the flow of the book and characters. It kept my interest from beginning to end. I definitely recommend reading these books in order. I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

Author Suzanne Woods Fisher's talent is to make me feel so comfortable as I slipped into her latest book, At Lighthouse Point. It was great to spend time with familiar characters, and to meet some new people that added some zing to the cast. Although it's third in the Three Sisters Island series, this one reads well as a stand alone. With the entire family plus the island locals, there is a lot going on on Three Sisters Island. Fisher gets into everyone's head, and keeps the reader wondering what is going on with each character, which keeps one turning the pages. Plus her vivid descriptions of the island and the ocean really draw the reader into the setting. What I loved about this book is that everyone is on a life journey, and no one has arrived yet. All the characters, young and older, have much to learn from each other. And there are so many nuggets of wisdom for the reader to glean, as the characters do. I highly recommend this book and this series to readers of contemporary Christian fiction and women's fiction. The series make great beach reads! I received an e-ARC of this book from the author/publisher, through Celebrate Lit, for review purposes. The thoughts expressed here are my own.

At Lighthouse Point by Suzanne Woods Fisher has Blaine Grayson returning home to Three Sisters Island after being gone for two years. She is ready to remodel the kitchen at Camp Kicking Moose so she can open a fine dining restaurant. All Blaine’s dreams fly out the window when she discovers the family did some updates without her. Blaine needs to find the right path for her with a little help from family, friends, and God. At Lighthouse Point is the 3rd Three Sisters Island Novel. I recommend reading this engaging series in order so you can get to know the characters and how they came to live on Three Sisters Island. We finally get Blaine’s story in this edition. I thought this story was well-written with developed, realistic characters. The story moved along at a good pace. The author provided vivid descriptions that allows the readers to visualize the scenes. I could not wait to read this book. I wanted Blaine’s story plus to see how this series would end. There were surprises for the whole family in this story. This is a Christian story with Scripture quotes, but it is never preachy or overbearing. The most important take away for me was to pray and let go. We need to leave our worries in God’s hands. I liked the flashbacks into Blaine’s life. We get to see important moments in her life that shaped her. We get to catch up with Paul, Cam, Maddie, and Cooper. I liked the addition of Jean-Paul, Blaine’s Parisian friend, and Walter Grayson, Paul’s father. I enjoyed the humor sprinkled throughout the story (some of the antics will have you laughing out loud). Blaine cooked some wonderful dishes. The food descriptions will have your mouth watering. At Lighthouse Points is a story about family, friendship, and faith. I will miss Three Sisters Island and the Grayson family. At Lighthouse Point is a heartwarming tale with squabbling sisters, a crazy kitchen, a battered boyfriend, baby bonanza, a cell tower conundrum, God’s goodness, and campground chaos.
Great Ending to a Wonderful Series

I have waited for awhile for this book to come out. The journey that this series has provided has been filled with joy, obstacles, surprises and a family that surrounds each other with love. I decided in order to do justice to this series I needed a refresher. I went back and reread the previous story so I could escape once again into the world where lighthouses are prominent on an island full of hope. As I write my final review of this series I feel emotional saying goodbye to my friends. The author has written a saga that allowed me to be part of a family who instilled in me the importance of following your dreams. They may stumble along the way but with God’s help they find their destiny. Now I was a little unsure about the man that Blaine brought hone from Paris. He irritated me somewhat until the moment I read what he had done for Blaine. Oh readers don’t miss this part in the story. It captures the pure unconditional love a person has for others. “God will never give up on you even if you give up on Him.” Those words spoken by a stranger to Blaine pierce her heart in a way that made her start to heal from her sorrow and pain. It was one of the most emotional sections of the book that defines the road to freedom. I am one of those people who don’t like change. I like my little place in the world that may be boring to some but it is familiar and comfortable to me. The island is experiencing growing pains which some don’t care for. It was interesting to see how the town would take to technology coming in and perhaps new businesses popping up. With this change is the core group of townspeople who like things to stay just the way it always has been. The author shows us what it is like to allow change so we can grow and become more like minded. I adore lighthouses and even have a collection of them in a curio cabinet. Each one is special because it reminds me of new beginnings. I couldn’t wait to see what Blaine has in store for the lighthouse on the island. It sat lonely for years crying for someone to bring it back to life. I loved the history behind lighthouses and appreciate the author’s research on them. As the series closes the author demonstrates the importance of forgiving and trusting. This family has been through a lot but they have come to understand that they need each other as they seek new adventures, celebrate life and watch dreams come true. It is never to late to have a relationship with God and allow Him to soften your heart and find unconditional love. “Most things work out in the end if you leave them in God’s hands and don’t meddle.” I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
Doing it right makes all the difference

There was a time and place for all things, including conflict. Blaine has returned from Paris a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. Arriving with her is Jean-Paul, a very good friend, who is hoping to find himself in America. With many unexpected changes, conflict was not the path to follow. Grateful to be home was all she needed for now. However, was there a place for her or would she continue to be the youngest daughter that hasn’t really found herself? Perhaps she needs a new dream.... Jean-Paul seems to be there to help everyone - an angel in disguise perhaps. His words of encouragement are appropriate for each person, just as some of them struck a chord in my life. Pray and release is certainly something we all need to learn! A grateful heart protects you from worry, just as it did for these wonderful characters. The author has written a wonderful conclusion to the Three Sisters Island series, but I must admit I hope these folks return to the page at another time. Published by Revell and Baker Publishing Group, this ARC was received through NetGalley and CelebrateLit. My rating, impressions and comments were in no way solicited.
Going Home Again!

Blaine has just returned from Paris to her Maine island home. After only two years away attending a French cooking school, everything at home has changed. Artie, her former best friend has become the island doctor, but he barely acknowledges her. Can she figure out what is wrong, and return to the way they were before? Her exasperating older sister Cam, who can push all of Blaine's hot buttons, continues to do and say things without thinking them through. Worse of all, her father let Cam, who doesn't cook, remodel their home kitchen, and it will never pass the commercial license requirements. Can the coping skills Blaine learned in Paris work with Cam? Blaine thought it was God's will for her to return home, and cook for the family campground. Did she make a mistake? Then an elaborate plan comes to her mind that involves the ruined lighthouse, cooking school, and a destination restaurant. Is this from God, or is it just her imagination getting out hand? This is a great story of family, friends, and finding purpose in life. Her accident-prone French friend, Jean-Paul, provides comic relief, as well as, great counseling for Blaine, and lots of others. This tale stands on its own despite being the third installment of a series. This 5-star book will be enjoyed by those who like stories with cooking, family drama, and unexpected love! Revell Books has provided Tickmenot with a complimentary copy of, At Lighthouse Point, for the purpose of review.

"Maybe the tricky part in life was aligning the gift with the vocation. And trickier still was what to do when the gift left." Ah, the long-awaited conclusion to The Three Sisters Island series. I've been looking forward to Blaine's story ever since the first book and it was fascinating that this book was more about Blaine's journey to self-discovery, forgiveness, healing, and responsible adulthood than romance. There are plenty of flashbacks to give the reader a glimpse of her childhood to see what shaped this young woman. All the three sisters - Cam, Maddie, and Blaine - have a voice in the story as well as their father Paul. It was nice to catch up with Cam and Maddie and their respective husbands and growing families from the first two books. Paul does a lot of soul-searching when his estranged father shows up on the island and it was intriguing to see a different side of his personality. I understand that the author was trying to tie all the sisters' and their father's stories together for this conclusion of the series (and I loved the subplots involving Cam and her need for control, Maddie and her anxiety, and Paul and his life's purpose) but Blaine's story didn't feel like the centerpiece of the book...or maybe that was the author's intention? It was satisfying to see Blaine grown up, having worked hard to earn her culinary degree in Paris, but still with delightfully glorious dreams and now the motivation to see things through. I enjoyed Jean-Paul, Blaine's culinary French friend, who brought humor and wisdom to the Grayson family. I would have liked more interaction with Artie and was disappointed that he mainly served in the medical professional role for most of the book. The multiple romances and the promise of happily-ever-afters will definitely have you sighing contentedly at the end. I do recommend reading the series in order to understand all the main characters and their backgrounds. I received the book via Celebrate Lit Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are solely my own.

It was a treat to return to Three Sisters Island, its residents, and locals. (We learn in this book why those are not necessarily synonymous.) This story focuses on Paul Grayson's youngest daughter, Blaine, as she returns from two years in France with an unexpected guest in tow. Cam, Maddie, and their husbands along with Cam's son, Cooper, are still living with Paul at Camp Kicking Moose, and now there are more babies on the way as Cam and Maddie are both expecting. The theme of this book is that God will never give up on you, even if you give up on Him. He comes through in amazing ways in the lives of the Grayson family. They learn, although maybe not quickly, to live by Blaine's friend's motto to pray and release, a motto that would likely help us all. As always Fisher delights, entertains, and inspires. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of At Lighthouse Point from Revell via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

There is no way you can go wrong with a book written by Suzanne Woods Fisher. I am being totally honest when I say there hasn't yet been a book of this author's that I didn't absolutely love reading and wouldn't highly recommend to everyone. She is easily one of my favorite authors. I enjoy her Amish and historical books and am so amazed at how easily she can transition to different genres. I loved the characters in this book. This was Blaine's story and I loved accident prone Jean-Paul and the "little bit of a mystery" as to his connection to Blaine. I loved the problem-solving aspects and trust in God as to the outcomes of our lives. There were so many sentences that I would totally love to quote in this review, but I am leaving it to the readers to discover for themselves. And I must add that I love lighthouses as they simply fascinate me. This book was all that and more. I am sad to see the end of this series. But will be watching for any future book this author writes. I would never want to miss a single book! I received a complementary copy of this book from the publisher and NetGalley. All thoughts are my own

When is it time to come back home after running away to find yourself? For Blaine, it is after two years of being away, but having finished school at the elite Le Cordon Bleu. Blaine is ready to face her family and pursue her dream of having her own restaurant. Unfortunately, Blaine is barely off the boat before things start to fall apart. "But then a single moment changed everything, gave her life meaning and direction." At Lighthouse Point is the third book in the Three Sister's Island series, written by Suzanne Woods Fisher. While I feel it is always to read books in order, especially ones that follow the same characters, this book can be read as a standalone novel. I read the first book in the series but missed the second one, yet I do not feel I missed anything. I was able to pick up with this book and feel like I knew what was needed to follow the storyline. There are quite a few characters in this story, but Fisher writes in such a way that you can easily keep up with everything going on with each of them. You can see the personal growth of each of the sisters and the growth in their relationship throughout this story. I also enjoyed the brief doses of humor that were sprinkled throughout the story. There were a few minor things that I did not enjoy about this novel. I did not like Jean-Paul's accent. I loved him and his wisdom as a character, but I got tired of reading "zee...eez..." It is enough to know he has an accent, but it is hard to read. Plus, it irritated me that it took so long for the story of why Jean-Paul came home with Blaine to be told. I also felt that the story was too heavy on details and not enough dialogue. I would have liked to have seen a better balance as I am the type to want fewer details and more dialogue. I find the story more enjoyable that way. Finally, I felt that Artie and Blaine's relationship was rushed at the end. It did not feel realistic how quickly the switch was flipped (that is all I will mention to prevent spoilers). Overall, I enjoyed this book, but it was not my favorite from Suzanne. There were many layers to the story and they were handled well. I would recommend this book to those who enjoy contemporary fiction and clean romance stories. Those who enjoy Irene Hannon, Pepper Basham, Denise Hunter, and Nicole Deese will also enjoy this book. Thank you to Revell and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are completely my own.

This book brings us back with dear friends, and we have updates, and surprises, and big surprises, and more. Blaine is home from Paris and brought a friend with her, and we are there for the misadventures of her friend Jean Paul, he sure is unlucky, but full of wisdom. I love being back on this island in Maine, and being with some of these colorful characters, and a very rundown camp. I would love to go to Peg Legg's diner, and hope Blaine was cooking that day! If this is your first visit with this series, you will not be lost, but you will be back for more, these reads are that good! I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Revell, and was not required to give a positive review.

4.5 stars "Honey, life doesn't always turn out the way we plan." Isn't that the truth. In other words, could God possibly have an even better plan in store for Blaine Grayson. Her French house guest Jean-Paul seems to think so, telling her that "He has dreams for you that you could not even imagine" . . . . and hopefully he is right, because Blaine is already trying not to question her return home to Three Sisters Island, Maine; where nothing, and everything has changed. Blaine's notion of returning to her family's island property, Camp Kicking Moose, with a coveted degree from a French culinary school, led her to believe that she could remodel the camp's kitchen in order to offer fine dining for the many guests visiting the camp during peak season. Finding out that her father and older sister, who never cook, have done a terrible job of putting in what they considered upgrades to the old kitchen, has effectively ruined that idea. As if the sister dynamics weren't frustrating enough, the one person whom she considered her best friend is giving her the cold shoulder; in fact, Dr. Artie Lotosky is doing a fine job of totally ignoring her, putting another dent in her tender heart. Digging deep into her faith, and quoting many precious Proverbs to herself, ("a fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control . . . ") Blaine dares to believe that God may have a new dream in store for her. But in order to reach for it, can she truly, "pray and release"? This lovely series conclusion has only one flaw . . . . it ended far too soon. I received a copy of this book from Baker Publishing Group through Interviews and Reviews.
