About this item
Highlights
- Hearty Nuts & Fruit: Woodpeckers and other wild birds need high-energy foods to support their daily activities. Sunflower seeds, peanuts, and mixed nuts are loaded with protein and healthy fat, which are essential for wild birds’ survival. Raisins provide a delicious source of natural energy. Plus, protein-packed nuts attract a variety of unique and colorful birds that offer an endless array of backyard entertainment.
- Great for Winter Feeding: Suet is a great way to attract a variety of unique birds all year, but suet is especially important during the winter months when wild birds need extra energy. The high fat content helps birds stay warm during cold weather and provides them with the energy they need to survive harsh weather conditions.
- Omnivorous Birds: Suet is a great option for birds that prefer a higher fat diet than seeds alone can provide. Woodpeckers are omnivores that enjoy a varied diet including insects, nuts, seeds, fruit, and suet, which contains easily digestible animal fat. Woodpecker Suet also attracts flickers, sapsuckers, nuthatches, cardinals, jays, titmice, titmice, and more.
- Feeder Recommendations: Audubon Park Woodpecker Suet can be offered in a standard-size suet feeder.
Description

The birds in my area really enjoy this seed we have a few woodpeckers and a dozen other types. I laid it out in a pile for them in a very high area, As we also have cats and other animals around. The birds seem to really enjoy the feed, I would purchase this again!
Attracts woodpeckers and squirrels.

This suet mix is a premium mix and is well liked by the woodpeckers in my area. They went through it pretty quickly - even after much of the snow cover was melted. Unfortunately, this as also very popular with local squirrels, which means the woodpeckers didn’t get as much as I would have hoped. Generally a good mix that is well liked.

The way it all stayed together was awesome I’d figured it wasn’t gonna last but the other birds didn’t mess with it so that was good to know except a hummingbird bird. I must say I’ll buy this again.

I’ve been using Woodpecker Wild Bird Suet for a while now, and it has become a favorite among the birds in my yard! As soon as I put it out, woodpeckers, nuthatches, and even some chickadees start flocking to it. The suet holds up well in different weather conditions, and it doesn’t crumble or melt too quickly, which is a big plus. One of the things I appreciate most is the high-quality ingredients. It seems to provide great energy for the birds, especially in colder months when they need it the most. The packaging makes it easy to handle and store, and it fits perfectly in my suet feeder. If you’re looking for a reliable suet that attracts a variety of wild birds, I highly recommend this one. It’s a great way to enjoy birdwatching and support local wildlife at the same time!

The woodpeckers are really enjoying this wild bird suet. It didn't take long for the birds to start chowing down on it. It is conveniently packed into a nice tight puck. The woodpeckers look like they are enjoying themselves.

Woodpecker Suet is small and compact, fits well in a small hanging basket. The plastic film was open along one side when I received it, I pulled the plastic off completely and set it outside in my backyard. I have seen several types of birds enjoying this feeder but no woodpeckers.

This is Great size woodpecker bird feeding food cake. It was really cold the first day we put it out but then it warmed up and then the birds came to munch on their new snack. I am glad this is such a nice size so that it can feed the birds for quite a while so that we get to enjoy seeing them out of our windows!!

I am sure that we don't have many woodpeckers but I do know that the birds and squirrels in my area loved it. I do know that my small animals around here will eat just about anything that isn't nailed down.

This suet cake was good quality and lasted a good amount of time. The birds seemed to like it. The packaging was easy to open and didn’t leave a mess on your hands. The appearance of the seeds seemed high quality. It didn’t melt in the sun.

This was some pretty nice suet. Had no problems with the packaging, and it was pretty easy to install in the suet feeder. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that it didn't really appear to attract woodpeckers. At least none that I saw. However it did draw many Sparrows Starlings, and Chickadees. I would have liked to have captured the birds on camera but they would fly off anytime I tried to get a good picture of them. Guess they were camera shy! This was overall a good experience.

Although I haven’t had any woodpecker visitors, I’ve had a ton of starlings (among others) who really enjoy this suet! It fits perfectly into my double suet holder and does a great job of staying secure and held together (and not making a mess on the ground) throughout the time it’s been up. Definitely recommend!
Woodpecker suet. The birds were in heaven and thoroughly had fun pecking away at this product.

The woodpeckers seem to thoroughly enjoy this suet product sent by target they packed away and were happy little birdies. I can honestly say spring has sprung here in the area where I live and the birds flock to it within a day and it was gone within five.

I’ve been observing birds for a while and trying to attract new ones. So far, I haven’t seen any woodpeckers, however, this feed brought in a nuthatch and some juncos. The woodpeckers in my area seem to be very elusive or shy, so my next step is to place this feed in a separate feeder from the general seeds I have out. It’s well compacted but enough the birds can get out of the hanging feeder.

This seems to be a good suet product. It attracts the birds. The suet was easy to put in the cage and hang, whether from a tree or post. I enjoyed watching the birds flying around and eating the seeds.
