Aussie Instant Volume Hair Mousse - 6oz

PLEASE bring back the original Headstrong Volume Mousse! I have used it daily for years & love it. This new “improved”(NOT!) version is TERRIBLE. The mousse is nothing more than stinky, runny water that leaves a horrible residue.

Not very touchable curls, felt like it weighed down my wavy hair. It definitely helps it hold a curl and adds some volume, but I don't like the feeling when touching my hair.

This was my favorite go too but the new formula is terrible. The smell is different as well and it nearly evaporates as soon as you touch it to put in your hair?? New formula doesn’t leave my hair shiny or bouncy like the old formula.

Stay away. They totally changed the product. New formula is nothing like the original. Dries our hair and irritates scalp. After using 1 week scalp itches. Threw the can away.

flakes like crazy, solid hold but I think I end up using a lot because it deflates immediately. wont be using again

Their new formula really changed the whole product. When you dispense it out of the can it immediately goes flat which I thought was interesting but I still gave it a shot. I’ve been using it for a month now and my hair is falling out in chunks :( !!! It was the only new product I put in my routine. I never had this problem with their old mousse.

I finally found this mousse some time ago and it worked so well for my hair, didn't cause me to have allergic reactions, helped make my hair healthy, and was the icing on my hair regimen cupcake...then Aussie said, "If it isn't broke, give it here and we'll break it!" The new formula leaves so much to be desired and I am now on the hunt for a replacement product because this new formulation is definitely not it!!! There was something about the previous formulation and texture/consistency that just really made my hair happy...I looked forward to my hair routine and to feeling great on the outside, not just on the inside. Even my hair stylist was impressed with the quality and look and feel of my hair (dark brunette with blonde balayage/ombre hair). Being a Salon Professional of 20 years myself, I was proud to say I love Aussie Instant Volume Mousse and told everyone about it! This product's new formulation/ingredients has made my hair look frayed at the ends, does not hold up against heat or humidity, and makes my hair look like I never style it. Nothing has changed with my hair care products or styling tools - I literally never had any problems with the previous formulation and this revamp has given me nothing but problems. Because I love Aussie Products, I tried their Hemp Wavy Hair Mousse (I use their Hemp Conditioner) and that mousse was literally the same - zero hold, zero protection against heat/humidity, way to watery and not mousse like at all. I get it - times have changed, supply of products used to make things like mousse have changed...but I would be willing to pay $30+ a bottle for the previous version of this mousse because that's how incredible it was. Until then, I'll keep searching. Aussie, if You're reading this, DO YOUR CONSUMERS A SOLID AND BRING BACK THE PREVIOUS VERSION AND ITS FORMULATION/INGREDIENTS...THANK YOU!!!

Dispenser is awful and difficult to get product out. Mousse is thin and does absolutely nothing to my hair. Complete disappointment!

This is different. It quickly evaporates as soon as you dispense it on your palm. It also use to have a more tropical scent. The smell that lingers in my hair is cheap old lady perfume. It does give you volume but you have to quickly blend in and add more because it evaporates. I don’t understand why they changed it. Booo

The change in formula is horrible!! It is a stinky sticky mess now. The smell gives me an instant headache. This is seriously disappointing as this was one of the few products that I have found that didn't. I would have gladly paid more for the quality product that you used to produce.

I was using the headstrong volume mousse for many years. I'm disappointed in the new version. Unfortunately, I will need to look elsewhere.

The old formula was fantastic, everything I wanted in a mousse. The new formula dissolves into a sticky goo in your hand and doesn’t have any hold or create volume, which is it’s main claim.

The old formula was 3 times better. I work on a production line (8-10 hours) and the old formula worked the whole shift, new formula falls flat in about 3 hours.

I know reviews say it leaves white flakes but I honestly haven’t had this issue. This works really great and gives me amazing curls with the routine I use. That being said, the one thing I don’t like, is it has caused my hair to fall out more than before I used this. Still going to use though.

They changed the formula. This mousse smells different, is super light weight, and it dissolves super quick it your hand before I can even put it on my hair. It does nothing for my hair now except make it look wet and thin. Not only that, but the price went up. I miss the old formula SO MUCH. The old formula gave me more definition, fullness, and wavier hair.

Have been using this product for many years. It works perfect for my short hair.

I've ordered this item before you're packing people do not know how to ship and secure an item you don't just throw some cans in a box and throw a piece of bubble wrap on top and expect it not to clang around and be damaged I won't order from you ever again!!

I really wanted to love it because I was looking for a voluminous mousse. I used it and I didn't put a lot, once it dries you can not touch your hair even the slightest or there will be white flakes. It makes my hair look dirty with the amount of white flakes it produces.

I really wanted to like this mouse but all it did was make my hair frizzy. I really wanted a little volume to my strait hair and idk if it’s just my hair type but in my opinion it’s not even worth the $5 it doesn’t work.
