Q: Why does your info state sulfate-free yet it is the second ingredient on bottle? Also, why does your website state PETA Cruelty-free yet bottle does NOT state that?

submitted by Dogi - 9 months ago
  • A: We want to apologize for any confusion but we do not claim this product as sulfate free, however it is paraben free. Also although we could state "Cruelty-Free" on many of our products, we don't make this claim because we believe it's misleading. There is currently no set standard for when a company can claim that their products have not been tested on animals.

Q: What is the amount of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate used in this shampoo?

submitted by Hannah - 5 years ago
  • A: Theyre both at the front of the ingredient list, so this will have high amounts of both SLS and SLES, not good for curls or any hair for that matter

Bottle is horrible. I don't mind the product itself. It's an okay in between since my hair needed something new but every time I use it i get frustrated that it's so full of air and impossible to get out. I didn't buy the larger one bc it felt so full of air. Figured maybe they just left air to make it easier to squeeze. No. It's horrible and i don't even struggle with hand/ arm functioning

Thank you for getting in touch about our Aussie Miracle Curls Shampoo with Rice Water. We're sorry to hear that you had some troubles dispensing the product and that it didn't seem full. Our products go through many quality checks so that they can reach you in the best of conditions. What you've shared has been unexpected but just know that we are reporting this to our Quality Assurance team. We fill our bottles by weight, not volume, to ensure you receive the exact amount we advertise on the package. With that said, we do leave a bit of space at the top of each bottle. Industry standards require all shampoo and conditioner bottles to leave 10% of the bottle empty, to account for shipping conditions such as varying temperatures, which helps to prevent the bottles from splitting open during transport. We'd like to assist you further. When you have the time, please give us a call at (800) 947-2656 or email us through our Contact Us Page.

This is my second order of a product line from Target, the first set of products were used or someone reached in and scooped out the product of two hair products. The shampoo arrived half way empty and the products looked like they were pulled from the return bin. No more ordering hair products on line fir me.

I love the Aussie products they make my hair soft and smell nice, my only complaint is that some of the Aussie shampoos still have sulfates in some them, I love would to use the miracle curls one, but sadly I can't due to the sulfates in it. Sulfate is know to strip colored hair, even though Aussie states the shampoo is color safe. Please remove the sulfates from your shampoos!

Wanted to try a new shampoo that would possibly help my hair form my natural waves that I’ve been neglecting since birth, and I got results immediately after the first wash!! My hair actually remained fresh and bouncy for two whole days, a big step since I usually get super oily the day after I wash my hair. My waves were quick to form after the first time using this shampoo and the volume is insane. Literally the best shampoo I’ve ever used, probably never going back to ogx or any other brands!! I bought it with the conditioner too, so I’d say they both helped make my hair look and feel so lovely^^ it helps that the price is fair with the amount of product you’re given, so I’m 100% satisfied!

I usually purchase R&co brand shampoo and conditioner but i needed to buy something affordable n opted for this. The Sulfates in this made my scalp so dry and itchy i was flaking !!! My scalp has never been that way before. Even the skin on my face closest to my hair started acting up once i started using this for a week. Returned it and my hair is already feeling better after 2 washes of a new shampoo. Don't recommend.

We appreciate you for getting in touch about our Aussie Miracle Curls Shampoo with Coconut and Jojoba. It's so disappointing to hear that your scalp became dry and itchy as well as the skin on your face. Please know that this isn't the kind of experience we want you to have and we understand how this can be frustrating. You can be sure that your comments will get the attention they deserve. To make sure of this, we'd like to gather some more information. All that you share will be reported to our Health and Safety Team as well as the rest of our Aussie Team. Safety is the heart of all that we do and all of our products have been thoroughly evaluated to be safe when used as directed. I really wanted to like this product for my wavy hair, but after using it 3x my scalp is irritated and my hair is sooooo dry. Did nothing for my waves. Will be returning.

Thank you for reaching out about our Aussie Miracle Curls Shampoo with Coconut and Jojoba Oil. It saddens us to hear that your hair dried out and that your scalp also became irritated. We understand how frustrating this can be and it's not the kind of experience we expect any of our consumers to have. As you may know, hair is usually dry if it's not conditioned well enough. There's a possibility that the product used didn't offer enough hydrating benefits for your hair type. For a better experience we recommend that you try a rich conditioner. You can also try using a conditioning treatment 2 or 3 times out of the week. In the meantime, we want to make sure your comments get the attention they deserve. To do so, we'd like to collect some additional information. You can be sure that every detailed provided will be reported to our Health and Safety Team and the rest of our Aussie Team. We thoroughly evaluate our products to be safe when used as directed, and we maintain an ongoing monitoring program for quality and safety. As such, we take your report very seriously and appreciate that you took the time to get in touch. While all our ingredients are thoroughly evaluated to be safe and effective when used as directed, we recognize some people may have personal sensitivities and cannot tolerate a particular ingredient or formulation. If you haven’t already, we recommend you discontinue using the product. Please give us a call at (800) 947-2656 or email us through our Contact Us Page so we can better assist you.

Thank you for getting in contact with us about our Aussie Miracle Curls Shampoo with Coconut and Jojoba Oil. We're sorry to hear that your hair became dry and started to frizz. This isn't the experience we would want you to have and we are sharing it with the rest of our team. In the meantime, we've found that hair can look dry and frizzy if it's not conditioned enough. For better results we recommend trying a richer conditioner. You could also try using a leave-in conditioner opposed to one you rinse out. We'd like to collect more information about your experience. The first 1-2 washes were really great, but after a week of using it my scalp became super itchy and my hair was so dry, like bird nest texture ): I’m sad about this as I really like the smell of the shampoo and conditioner but it has damaged my hair and causes so much dandruff. I think it’s best to stick with Curly girl method products
