Avène Tolérance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Face Cream - 1.3 fl oz

Purchased this for my rosacea aggravated by dry windy winter in an arid climate. While it didn’t eliminate the rosacea flare-up, it did lessen it, and helped my skin in general, especially when using the hydrating eau thermal mist right before. It work very well on my child’s skin when he has exzema flare-ups. A little goes a very long way.

This is the best line I have found for my easily irritated and very dry skin. My skin stays hydrated all day and throughout the night:-)

Tolerance Control Soothing lotion works wonders. It is slightly dense, but with gentle application goes on smooth and even. It truly make a difference when I have an eczema flare up.

I ended up having an allergic reaction shortly after putting the cream on my face. My eyes puffed up and my checks turned red. My eyes were watery the rest of the day and my face felt hot even after washing the cream off. I don’t recommend this product for people with sensitive skin.

Sometime in the beginning of last year (2024) I absolutely wrecked my skin barrier. My skin was breaking out, itching and full of texture. I spent a full year trying what felt like everything to get it to calm down and go back to normal. I tried simplifying my skincare routine for weeks on end, I tried dermatologist, I tried and tried and I remember crying to my husband because I felt like I was never going to fix the problem. Fast forward to about a month and a half ago, I was researching the best moisturizers for rosacea (bc I like to diagnose myself and thought that might be the issue because of the redness, texture, etc) and this cream was recommended. I was willing to try anything at this point so I bought this cream and cut everything from my skincare routine except for my face wash that I’ve been using for years and this. I wish I could express just how grateful I am to whoever created this product because it absolutely transformed my skin. No more texture, no more itchiness, breakouts have been reduced by AT LEAST 95% and my skin feels so soft. Will repurchase and rave about this forever!

My favorite general face lotion. Very gentle. Non-irritating. Originally used by the derm center I go to for post-peel hydration, but I use it daily for my sensitive skin either at night (summer) or in morning/night (winter). I only find it a little thick during humid weather. Does not clog pores. I'm very scent-sensitive and it doesn't trigger any reaction.

Since I started using Tolerance The redness of rosacea is greatly decreased and so have whiteheads. I doubt I’ll ever stop using this fabulous cream.

Thought this would be best for sensitive, dry skin BUT it actually irritated my skin and caused tiny white head break outs and uneven skin tone. Very disappointed as I really wanted this to work.

Love Avene creams as they are pure and not greasy. Perfect for the winter dryness.

This lotion has made such a difference in my skin. On my face my cheeks some times get very dry and red. Especially in the winter. I changed my skin care routine to include both the Tolerance Cleanser and lotion. My skin is smooth and after using a tinted sunscreen not noticeable. Of course I use the Avene Thermale Water after cleansing and before the lotion.

Soothes my sensitive skin. I use it with a peptide serum and it has worked wonders on my irritated skin.

Love using this cream when my skin is itchy. It kills the sensation quickly and it doesn’t lead to break outs.
