Aveeno Calm + Restore Daily Moisturizer Mineral Sunscreen - SPF 30 - 1.7oz

Really disappointed in this product. It is advertised as a moisturizer but does not function as one at all. It is simply a mineral sunscreen. I have used Aveeno face moisturizers for over a decade. I loved the ultra calming moisturizer and it was always my go to. When that was discontinued, I switched to positively radiant and it was fine. When I went to my local Target to purchase the positively radiant daily face moisturizer with spf 30, they were out of stock so I decided to try this instead. The first time I applied it to clean, dry skin that had nothing else on it. It would not blend in at all and it made my skin flaky. The second time, I applied a serum before trying this moisturizer and it blended better but it provides absolutely no moisturization. It works exactly like a mineral sunscreen, meaning it sits on top of your skin in a thin, slightly tacky layer. If that is what you are looking for, this product is fine that's why I gave it 2 stars instead of just 1. But it should be advertised as such. I was looking for actual moisturization. Silly me for trusting that a product that said "Daily Moisturizer" on it would actually be a moisturizer. Personally, I'm also not a fan of the feel of mineral sunscreens so I'm not sure I'll be able to use this product at all. Very disappointed.

I've only used this twice but am not a fan. I feel it leaves a chalky texture on my face. I have normal to dry skin and just felt it dried my face out more.

Horrible tacky feeling left on face. Not moisturizing in the least as the original formula this replaced. No information on the product that it is tinted of which I don’t need. I will not buy again and won’t even finish the product I have now. Please bring back the calm and restore moisturizer that you had before you replaced it with this inferior product. Don’t fix it if it’s isn’t broken!

Advertised as a moisturizer with sunscreen-feels completely like sunscreen with a thin layer sitting on my skin after I rubbed it all in. Don’t recommend!

Aveeno calm + restore daily moisturizer mineral sunscreen is calm and gentle and works good on my face and skin. I like how it’s gentle but keeps me protected from the sun.

This thing SUCKS- it feels like sunscreen when you put it on. Flat, thin and NOT moisturizing. Since using this my skin has gotten dry and flakey throughout the day cause this does not help.

I like this moisturizer and for me i use it daily but not on the days that i wear makeup. Very gentle on the skin.

Bring back the Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer. This does not hydrate the skin like the old version.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to learn Aveeno introduced a calm and restore mousturizer, that also included a bit of tinting. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. It was very thick which made it difficult to apply and if I applied any other serums or lotions before or after, the product immediately start pilling. I tried several times and had to come to the conclusion that it was unusable.

It has a nice sheer sheen to it and feels very lightweight. The spf is very appreciated as I’m using it for daily use and sun here is killer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a light and moisturizing mineral sunscreen, that is, it not only protects my skin but also keeps it moisturized. It's indicated for sensitive skin and contains oatmeal, feverfew and is fragance free. It's sunscreen factor is 30 and its packaging is beautiful and minimalist. When I opened the product I noticed that it has some color (I don't remember reading that in the description). When I applied it I didn't have any allergic reaction with the product and I noticed my skin was moisturized, another thing I liked about this product is that it has a matte finish meaning it doesn't leave my face shiny or oily. I wish it had a higher protection factor of +50 so I could also use it on sunnier days but it is a good option for daily use when I go to the office. Something I also noticed is that when I tried to blend the product after a few minutes it became a little patchy (maybe I applied too much product). Overall I liked it, I think it's a 7/10.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This sunscreen is a lot like a BB cream. It has a slight pinkish tint that doesn’t show up on my skin however I’m very fair. My skin has a clean soft feeling after it’s soaked in. Initially it does have kind of a tacky feeling or sticky feeling. I believe it provides good sun protection. Since I’ve received it we’ve had some pretty overcast days but I’m above 7,000 feet in elevation so no burns or even tightness from sun exposure have occurred. I like that it has a mild scent almost completely absent of any odor. The product is a bit pricey but I believe it would be awesome under make up or other products that you might use throughout your day. I’ve included a picture of the skin on my forehead which is beginning to wrinkle with age and it really calmed my skin and left it moist while still protecting it from the elements. I would recommend this especially to those women who have aging skin.

I’ve tried it several times and still feel like it ends up as a sticky layer on my face that doesn’t blend in well. I use multiple face products daily, but I’m not willing to change that to use this product. It might work well on its own, but again, not something that I’m going to try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve really enjoyed this product so far! It’s not quite moisturizing enough for my dry skin, so I layer it over my normal moisturizer. It leaves a slight white cast (on fair skin) during application, but absorbs quickly. It feels gentle, lightweight, and leaves behind a slight glow, which I love. It hasn’t caused any breakouts or irritation and works great for sensitive skin!

This product is very affordable and easy to use. It doesn't even leave a white cast when putting it on! I would definitely recommend it, my skin feels great.
