I appreciate that they tried to make the new product lather more based on reviews, and they also removed the myrrh oil. However, adding sulfates back in has completely dried out my skin and caused intense itching and dry scaly spots. Aveeno has always been the ONLY body wash I can use, but with this latest formulation I’m not sure I can continue.

The new formula is awful, it’s most def not fragrance free. It left my skin red, itchy, irritated and blistered. The original formula was the only thing that worked on my skin. Listen to your customers and bring back the original. Even if it costs more. Those of us with skin issues need the original back.

So sad you changed your formula. Have used the daily moisturizer FRAGRANCE FREE body wash for years and now I cannot because it has a horrible fragrance that it took washing my hands in alcohol to remove the stench from my skin; not to mention the headache I immediately got from this product. If you are going to mark your label fragrance free, it should be totally be FRAGRANCE FREE. This new stuff stinks. Now the search is on for something comparable.

The new formula smells super perfumy, it’s less white in color and my skin feels just as rubbery in the shower as it does with regular soap. I do not recommend this new formula with the brown lid, blue lid was better.

I’ve used this body wash for many years, and the new formula is horrible. It smells atrocious - super strong chemical odor (think bug spray or oven cleaner). It’s strong enough that I could actually taste it the two times I used it. I only used it a second time because I didn’t realize the terrible smell was this body wash until the second time I used it (I’d just finished cleaning the bathroom the first time and thought it was a lingering smell from one of the bathroom cleaning products). You’ve lost a customer with this change.

Despite claiming "fragrance-free" on the front of the bottle and in their marketing, if you look at the details of the ingredients on the website it states "2,6-Dimethyl-7-Octen-2-ol; Commiphora Myrrha Oil; Dipropylene Glycol; Ethylene Brassylate; Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil: Skin Conditioner complex provides a light, gentle scent." Myrrh oil and geranium oil! Geranium oil in particular is known to be a common skin allergen. Why they would change the formula to add this irritant is beyond me.

I used this product for many years. It used to be truly frangrance free. When the company changed the formula over a year ago it is no longer frangrance free even though it says frangance free on the bottle. I have not purchased the product for over a year due to the frangrance it has.

I have always loved this product but I just bought the new formulation and it seems to be heavily fragranced (the “fragrance free” version). My skin is so sensitive that I can’t use this now. So sad that they changed the formulation.

This WAS very good body wash. The original had a light citrus smell and really helped with irritated skin. The “new” formula has a weird smell that was left on my skin afterwards. It also made me itch. I returned my bottles. I didn’t notice the “New Formula” label. Please bring back the original formula.

New formula is not fragrance free and is irritating to skin. Both my mom and I have used the Aveeno Fragrance Free Free Body Wash for years (over 10!) We are both sensitive to fragrances. We used the old formula for both body and had soap with no issues. The new formula has a strong scent and was irritating to the skin. Unfortunately we are on the search for a new body wash. Aveeno, wish you would bring back the old formula!

The “New Formula” is not fragrance free. It has a VERY strong smell. People that buy fragrance free products do it for a reason. Fragrance free = no smell. This product not only stinks but left me very itchy even after washing with a truly fragrance free product to get rid of the smell. I have used this product for decades but unfortunately after this I will no longer buy any Aveeno products. I would give this product negative stars if I could.

I have been using this body wash for years. It’s the one body wash that doesn’t irritate my skin. When the formula changed, I noticed it smelled different and was a completely different product. I can’t use it anymore due to irritation. I’m so dissapointed they would change the formula. I stocked up on as much as I can before it switched and now I need to find a new brand.
