They changed the formula, what used to be a moisturizing go-to with a pleasant but subtle lavendar scent is now a greasy layer of perfume

I’m so disappointed with the new formula. Why change something so many people loved. I can’t even use the new one. It is so stinky, smells like old rancid perfume and it burns my skin. The old one was so subtle and pleasant and gave instant relief. Please please change it back. I can’t use this new one!!!! I use to recommend this to everyone, can’t do it anymore. Used for years and years. 😞

Horrible reformulation! This used to be my all time favorite lotion with the best scent ever. Now, without ylang-ylang and chamomile, it smells so cheap and artificial. It also offers zero moisturizing benefits like the old formula. Like many other disappointed customers, we want the old formula back!

After using this lotion for years I have just purchased my first bottle of the reformulated product in the brown cap/pump bottle. The new product smalls terrible and has a sticky feel. Why did you change a great product? ??? I will not be purchasing this again. Bring back the original!

No company has ever done me this dirty. I've used Aveeno Stress Relief Moisturizing Lotion for over 15 years. I had a huge bottle that lasted a long time, finally finished that and purchased a new one last week. What a shock when I pumped a handful and caught a whiff. That lovely, calming, familiar scent is non-existent. I thought it was a mistake, that I'd grabbed the wrong one, or it was a fake. Until I got online and confirmed that I'm not the only one upset. This seriously feels like a breakup.

I have purchased this product for decades because I liked the smell. Just opened a new bottle and realized the scent has been changed. No more ylang ylang. If I had known I would have not bought this new bottle. Now I will be either throwing or giving it away, if anyone else even wants it. The new scent is not even close to the old one and I do not find it remotely appealing. I will no longer buy this product, and am disappointed that Aveeno didn’t advertise the “new” formula or “new” scent on the label, so consumers could make an informed decision about buying it.

I have been using Aveeno Stress Relief lotion and body wash daily for years, maybe even a decade. Both products were perfect in every way. The body wash remains a staple in my shower however, I recently purchased a bottle of Stress Relief lotion (my stockpile had run out) and when I initially applied it, I thought that it had expired and gone rancid. To my horror, it hadn’t expired. What I was smelling was the new scent. I can’t use it. It smells sweet and cheap like others have commented. The original formula had an amazing light, calming, and fresh scent. This new scent is offensive to the olfactory cells. Sadly, I am now on the hunt to find a new brand. So, so sad.

I am very scent sensitive and your OLD formula was just perfect, a slight scent of lavender - i tried new one and shortly after began coughing and sneezing. Would not recommend to anyone.

This is the only lotion I will use now. My skin drinks this up. Nice light fragrance, absorbs completely so no greasy residue of other brands I tried. My skin stays moisturized, and comfortable. The oat protein is the effective ingredient and so healing to my dry skin!

I used the old formulation for years with the chamomile and yang-ylang. It was absolutely amazing and smelled wonderful. I’m so sad that product was discontinued for this one.

While a bit on the pricey side, this is my go-to lotion. The scent is lovely but not overwhelming. My skin absorbs it well - my tip is to always apply it fresh out of the shower when your skin is still damp! That way your skin absorbs it most effectively. I apply this lotion all over after my nightly shower and it leaves my skin so soft the next day. Highly recommend!

We got this prooduct a couple days ago to treat our dry hands. It is amazing! Used it after bath, and my dry skin is repairing like it is a magic potion. The lavender scent is so relaxing too. Aveeno changed the fragrance. Very overpowering. I thought something went horribly wrong, and then read the reviews of all the others that were also sadly disappointed. I could not use something that smelled this bad.
