Q: Can I put a newborn in this or does it need some sort of separate insert ?

A: My newborn weighs 6 pounds and the “adjustable straps” are not adjustable enough to make it snug. It’s not like car seat or high chair straps so I would say no.

Q: I've seen this question asked before but not directly answered. It's understood that the outer part of the seat cover and toy bar fabric are made of 100% organic cotton. What is the fabric content is the MESH portion of the seat?

Okay - this is the first item that baby is able to actually find sleep. It is also easy enough to take him out of the bouncer and into his bed. Props for that! I have the MamaRoo and just baby doesn't find sleep the same way he does in this one. Also, don't let the internet convince you that you need the Babybjorn, it's just a bouncer and baby will only use it for a few months.

This bouncer does not look like much but it is the only one out of all the other bouncers AND swings that he actually likes. It is portable & light. Has different adjustments for the height for baby to sit. He loves it and I love it too.

The seat is great - comfy for baby, easy to put together, aesthetically very cute. The toy bar, as others have mentioned in their reviews, is absolute nonsense? Why bother even including it with how easily it pops off. I don’t understand it, but it’s not necessarily a deal breaker for me at this stage. Just think it could have been designed better. Overall, worth purchasing in my opinion.

My son loves this bouncer, we had a swing bouncer combo and he used it a handful of times. But this bouncer he loves. BE WARNED! My son has a blowout every time he poops while in this chair, washing the cover is pretty easy but annoying since it happens quite often. But even then we love it

This chair is honestly amazing. The bar that attaches is pretty annoying, and comes off too easily, but otherwise this chair is great. Obviously super comfy for the baby. The cover comes off so you can throw it in the wash. It keeps our baby entertained, but the best part is that it helps her poop really easily. We started noticing that every time we put her in the chair, it's not too long before she goes. We pretty much count on it every time. If your baby is having trouble pooping, seriously consider getting this chair! As seen in the picture, we even place a disposable pad down now whenever she sits.
