Baby Jogger City Turn Rotating Convertible Car Seat- Onyx Black

We just got our second car seat. We love the turn feature and the high weight max. We haven’t experienced forward facing yet but I think we will miss the turn feature. I like the easy belt path so you don’t have to dig for the strap under the seat to loop through. We decided to get a second one for our second child because of the higher weight max and want to rear face as long as possible.

Very convenient an easy once babies get heavier. Great safety ratings as well

Does not rotate in forward facing position. Very difficult to install in rear facing position. Would appreciate if manufacturer made it obvious that rotating ability is ONLY possible when car seat is in rear facing position. The car seat is also excessively large!

I really love this seat! Looks so good and the turning mechanism works great. My favorite part is it can be turned towards inside with the door being closed. When the weather is bad or cold, I would carry my baby into the backseat first and take my time putting the baby in the car seat so I don’t have to stand in the rain or cold to get her buckled and the baby won’t be cold too. Only con is that there’s no place for the buckles to stay put while putting the child in the seat, so I always need to dig it out from under the baby to buckle.

4.5 stars!! I agonized over what car seat to purchase. We have been using the doona, but knew we would want to switch our daughter out of it before her first birthday because it’s pretty heavy. After hearing about a different rotating car seat being under investigation, I realized not all car seats are created equal in terms of safety. I compared Graco, Evenflow, Cybex, and Chico in addition to BabyJogger. I utilized both ConsumerReport and BabyGearLab. That’s all it took for me to realized how safe the BabyJogger City Turn is! Both organizations noted how well it performed in their independent, rigorous crash tests, especially against other rotating car seats. I was pretty much sold on BabyJogger but was a little hesitant to purchase because of the price. We were waiting for the holidays to end to purchase because this is such an expensive time of year. But then Black Friday happened!! The car seat went 30% off and I jumped at the opportunity to purchase it!! We had intended to switch our daughter at about 9 months old, but had plans to travel before then. We ended up transitioning her at 7 months and I am so glad. She is clearly more comfortable and honestly it just looks safer. The installation was simple enough and it. doesn’t. budge. My husband is particularly happy with how sturdy this seat is. He can’t stop talking about it, our whole family got a ‘car seat tour’ at Thanksgiving! Ultimately, it loses half a star for two reasons: 1. Like everyone else has said, the straps are super short. Like it’s kinda stupid how short they are. I imagine we’ll have to transition our daughter out of it at about 2 years old. Fortunately, we plan to use this for other kids so it’s not a huge deal. But I could see it being a problem for someone not planning to have anymore children. 2. While it is easy to take the fabric off the seat, it can only be spot cleaned. I understand why you can’t submerge the straps, but I wish the cushions could go in the washing machine. We had a blow out and clean up was rough. Alas, first world problems!

This baby car seat is an excellent choice for safety and comfort. It features a secure harness system, soft padding, and adjustable settings to grow with your child. The lightweight design makes it easy to install and transfer between vehicles. Highly recommended for parents looking for peace of mind on the road!

What a waste of money. While this seat seems very comfortably, the quality is poor. This seat should last until t your child is 65 lbs but parts of the seat have broken after only 2 years. The warranty is only 1 year. There are far more superior turning seats on the market than this one and this one is one of the priciest. Biggest regret in my opinion.

Son absolutely loves it. So comfortable. Got it when he’s was 6 months and has enjoyed car rides ever since.

As an infant seat, as most people are saying, the swivel is the best feature. Love not hurting my back taking baby in and out and nor twisting babies back either. However, besides that, forget it. Like most people say once your baby reaches 1 there is no leg room. Like many people are saying as well once about 2yrs, straps are just not working. you just can't use it. The straps are no where near long enough. I've had 4 kids and this carseat has been the only brand that doesn't have long straps. Ridiculous. Not worth the price. Too bad too. If it weren't for the short straps, it would have been a great seat.

I was excited to get this car seat on prime day but either I was received an item with manufacturing problems or the car seat was no good. My son is built relatively lanky so it was time to transition him out of his infant carseat. Being at 33in and 25lbs, the straps seemed to not pull out as much to fit his dimensions, I could say his Nuna lips lite had more length when pulling the straps out. I don’t know how the manufacturer expects babies of other sizes to fit as he is pretty skinny already.

I’m so confused as to how you can advertise this as a rotating car seat, when it DOESN’T rotate while forward facing! In no way, shape, or form is this shown or disclosed in a manor you would pick up on when buying it. Only after purchasing it & then reading the manual did I realize this & am so angry to have done the work and research to find a swivel seat option that turns out not to be a swivel seat.

We have had this car seat since my son grew out of his infant seat just before one years old and it has been a lifesaver. The turn option makes it so easy to get even a cranky fighting toddler in the car seat with you having the upper hand at getting them safely buckled in! Also very secure forward facing and it looks so sleek too which is a bonus! All in all we absolutely love this car seat.

We do like the comfort of the car seat and that it turns to make it easier to get baby in. But we had to purchase this one after already purchasing another due to the seat snapping away from the base. We were reluctant to purchase the same seat again but hopefully this one is better.

This is one of the best turning we have tried, we have a cybex, Graco, and safety 1st and this is definitely my favorite. The only thing that would make it better would be having the magnet or holder for the lower metal clips to make it easier to put baby in.

I love this seat! I mainly purchased a rotating seat for my 1 year old because I was pregnant and it was a life (and back) saver! I also love the rear facing limits go up so high so I can have my child rear face as long as possible. These seat is also very comfortable, easy to clean, and easy to install. I will be getting this for all of my kids!

Love the ease of the turn feature! I personally think installation was pretty easy, compared to what others are saying. One issue I do have is that the fabric has pilled SO badly after only 4 months of usage.

Great seat, comfortable, well cushioned. Rotation is flat and not at an angle. Cooling material. For the price, strap holders would be nice. Also Straps are very short even when fully extended. It's a major flaw and limits the longevity of use. More padded side head support would be nice too.
