I have been purchasing this product for a long time and it is one of my favorite gluten-free high protein pastas. The white cheddar flavor is really strong and one of the better brands I have tried.

I was skeptical at first...chickpeas, $3.29 for a box? I don't require gluten-free but I do like to replace wheat where I can, especially if it's a nutritious alternative. Seeing buttermilk in the ingredients list, I got excited. Cooked with milk and butter, it's delicious. It doesn't have quite the same chew as wheat pasta but the texture is good. Subtle chickpea taste, nothing to complain about. The cheese makes it great. Buttermilk isn't an ingredient in most boxed mac & cheese and it works wonderfully in this.
Did not neet expectations

The protein and fiber contents intrigued me to buy. Was highly disappointed in the taste of this product. When boiling the pasta I noticed it had a foul odor which i’m assuming was from the chic peas. It was more of a mush rather than a pasta.
Disappointing

Pasta is VERY delicate. Once you over-boil it, it becomes gloopy and loses its firm texture. This is my 3rd time trying to perfect the temperature to boil the pasta. On its own, it’s a bit watery and bland if you don’t add extra cheese or spices. Also, it foams ridiculously, be careful if it overflows on your stove.
Actually repulsive

Awful flavor, tastes like cardboard honestly. My 3 year old loves mac & cheese and wouldn’t eat this. Just stick to Goodles!
Very underwhelming

I had high hopes for a marketed healthier version of macaroni and cheese, but the Banza fell really short. It ended up having a soupy consistency more similar to risotto than macaroni and cheese.
Good stuff.

Definitely a good sub for traditional mac and cheese. I used a splash of half and half and it was very creamy and satisfying.

We really wanted to like these - the bitter flavor of the chick pea noodle was expected, but I was hoping the cheese would cover it. It did not. The kids wouldn’t eat it and honestly, I couldn’t blame them. We much prefer the Goodles.

The cheese packet is so great. Even adding shredded sargento cheese didn't help.

Very small pasta that will be way overcooked if you treat like normal pasta, which I didn't. Still by following the instructions the pasta was very soft and gloopy. It let off a thick and rather unusual yellow foam. The pasta needed a prince after cooking. The worst part is that even after adding the cheese packet and finish the cooking procedure, this pasta has an off-putting flavor and aroma that I just couldn't handle. But maybe this is passable for those with dietary restrictions and other special diets... I really wanted to like it as I consume lots of pasta and want to find a healthier alternative.

I honestly didn't know what to expect. I wanted something a step above Kraft and wanted something with protein. I've had this brand pasta and it's definitely not very tasty on its own haha. I added a tbsp of ghee and 1/4 cup of a Trader Joe's nut milk blend, and it disappeared pretty quickly!

Tried this as a healthier alternative to regular Mac and cheese and was very pleasantly surprised. The noodles are the same texture as a regular noodle, and great taste. Will definitely buy again!

I really enjoyed this after trying it for the first time today. I’ve made my own stovetop mac and cheese with Banza; having a premade package cuts out a lot of steps. This also goes well with an almond milk substitution. I couldn’t tell you the difference, otherwise!
Bummer

Was excited to try this Mac and cheese since I’m on a high protein diet and it has a decent amount of protein in it. Wasn’t awful but the actual box came with no cheese sauce or packet. Was an absolute bummer!
