Description
The Bell Mini Shell front child carrier fits most standard sizes and models of bikes, and offers easy, fast and secure installation (and quick-release removal, too!). The Mini Shell is ventilated for comfort, and features a foam seat pad, 3-point harness system and adjustable foot beds that grow with your child. The Mini Shell carries one child, age 1 and up, and has a 33-pound maximum capacity. Download the BILT app for 3D interactive instructions.
Bike Fit Guide:
For best fit, use on bikes with straight or cruiser style handlebars. Seat tube should be straight with a diameter of 25mm - 40mm. The mount fits on most bikes that have a seat tube with 4 inches of clearance. For the mounting bracket, there should be no interference of cables, water bottle mounting holes, bottle cages, etc.
Fits these bikes: cruiser, step-through, hard tail mountain bike, fitness/hybrid bike, city bike, road bike.
Does not fit these bikes: bikes with cables or water bottle mounting holes in the way of the mounting bracket, full suspension mountain bike, compact road bike or other compact frames.

A: Hi Emily, It is unlikely that the Bell Mini Shell will be compatible with the Rad Wagon 4 as the bike's seat-tube is not long enough to allow the clamp to be sufficiently attached.

Our daughter was under 1 and we wanted to ride bikes in our neighborhood and wanted to see her vs her sitting in the back. We came across this and decided to try it. We love it! It fit easy on the front, she loves it and we get to engage a lot easier together She is in the front so a side note to anyone trying this, we take it slow bc the wind. We have a helmet as well and this straps her pretty good and is comfy. We don't do long distance or off road so this review is strictly based on neighborhood only riding, short distance and slow speeds. Can't contest to anything else

This seat was easy to install and use. My 1 yr old grand daughter loved riding in it and it is just as easy to remove when you don’t plan to use it. The adjustments make it so we can use it until she learns to ride her own bike. The bracket isn’t in the way when riding without the seat. I am so happy I found this seat!

We tried this on a men's and woman's mountain bike. It unfortunately didn't fit well on either. There was not enough room between our bodies and the handlebars and if we moved the seat forward more, the handlebars were unable to turn.

This is a good bike seat. It was a little difficult to install, and almost didn’t fit on my “beach cruiser” style bike. With some finagling I finally got it on there, and my daughter fits well. It’s kind of bulky, but overall I would recommend this for the price.

This seat offers great balance and an easy view of your little passenger. I have previously used a rear-mounted bike seat, but I never felt as comfortable and secure in maneuvering with a kiddo on a bike as I do with this front-mounted version. I originally purchased it when my youngest was about a yr old, but after installing it (with minimal hiccups) I wound up having to replace one of my tire tubes. I sort of lost motivation through getting that repaired/replaced and then it was winter. I got the tube situation under control and a year later I'm finally going on bike rides with my kids. My nearly 2yr old is a whopping 32lbs, tall and sports 4T clothes. He fits, with room to spare, no problem. It is helpful, but not absolutely necessary, to have an extra pair of hands to help guide his feet in and out of the stirrups. I love that I don't have to worry about what he's doing/needing behind me and instead can easily interact with him as we ride. This has been a game changer! My older kids are so excited to be able to go for bike rides on a regular basis. It is a nice alternative to going on walks, particularly on super hot summer days. I am excited to be able to explore more with my kids and be more active.

We wanted a front mount carrier to be able to see our 9 month old daughter while on the bike. It did not fit our existing men's mountain bike (full suspension) or women's hybrid bike (front suspension). We had to purchase a new hybrid bike without suspension to be able to mount it and have turning maneuverability. We previously tried out the Thule Yepp mini ($199) and Peg Perego Orion ($100+) front mount carriers, both of which could not be mounted on our aforementioned bikes. Additionally, the leg rest of the Thule and Peg Perego prevented the bike from turning, which makes it impossible to ride a bike! Anyway, we are happy to have found something that worked AND for a fraction of the cost of the alternatives. Beware that most front mount carriers do not fit most bikes. My daughter is 9 months old and taller than average, her feet barely rests on the leg rest. Another important detail is that the rider must be tall enough to be able to reach the bike handles without leaning into/ touching the carrier, and have good visibility. Hope this helps anyone looking for a front mount!

it was easy to set up and attach to the bike, what I like the most if that the seat is easy to remove and can be attached to the base on and off without trouble. The foot rest are a bonus so my sons feet aren’t swinging in the air as well the handle that my son can hold onto that goes across the seat. My husband is tall and has a cruiser type of bike and he says he doesn’t have any issues with handing the bike with the seat on. My son is 1&5 months and fits comfy with enough space to grow into! A must guy we LOVE IT
