When this arrived the color looked like it might match my skin tone too well to work as a bronzer, but I actually like the shade that I got. Overall, I prefer the balm over the powder, but this is great if you prefer powder.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Benefit Hoola Bronzer in the new shade Deep, and overall, I really enjoyed the formula. The application was smooth and easy to blend, with a warm, natural finish that lasted all day on my skin. It gave me a soft, sun-kissed look without looking muddy or too orange. However, I was a bit disappointed that this is considered the deepest shade. I’m in the 300s range in many popular foundation lines, and while it works for me now, I can already tell it won’t show up well once I get my first summer tan. I love the quality of this bronzer, but I really hope Benefit expands the shade range to be more inclusive.

The packaging is so practical in terms of size but could be a little sturdier in case I would want to stick it in my purse. The coverage is build-able and blends like a dream. I also thought it applies nicely, however the shade I got seemed a bit orange. I am very pale skinned and it made me look like I had a bad self tan. I would try another shade, because I do think it blends well.

I loved using this bronzer on my cheekbones to make them pop and give a nice subtle glow. When I want that nice bronze look all over, I lightly dust the bronzing powder all over paying attention to not leave darker spots in unwanted areas and after I'm finished, I look like I've been tanning and have that nice subtle tan glow. I'm very happy with this product and will continue to use it and recommend it.

You can use it as a bronzer or as an eyeshadow and it gives that extra boost to your makeup. The pigment is good. You can wear it somewhat light or apply more layers of product and make it a little darker.

The formula feels really nice and smooth but it’s also rather sheer unless you have foundation underneath.

I have had the original one but the medium gives my cheekbones depth without looking too heavy. It’s more for day makeup that you can use every day. It has a nice soft scent to it. The packaging looks a little bigger than the original. However I don’t know the oz difference.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Powder Bronzer comes is super cute packaging with a mirror and is a great size for travel or on the go. The bronzer is highly pigmented and blends easily. The color “light”gives a very nice, natural sunkissed glow and did not look orange or give me harsh lines on my pale skin. It has a matte finish. Overall, Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Powder Bronzer performs well and held up through the day. It is great!

This medium deep shade does seem similar to the earlier version Hoola Caramel, but the availability of more shades now is wonderful! If Caramel already works for you, you may not necessarily need one of these - but if the shade has ever felt off, then these new shades could be a great option.

Then a million other brands came out with a million options and I forgot all about it. I wish I hadn’t! Having the opportunity to try this again has changed the game. It is the only bronzer that I’ve used where I don’t look orange. It goes on so seamlessly, it’s not harsh or overpowering. It’s like sun hit your face, not like you have makeup on. Truly so grateful I was able to get my hands on this again! Did I mention it’s what I’m going to use for my wedding now?

You can use it all over the face to add a tan or you can just bronze with it. I feel like back in the day it used to have a good scent but now it just smells neutral. I prefer non scented products though.
