Bentgo Kids Chill keeps your child’s lunch perfectly cool until it’s time to eat. The unique leak-proof design includes an optional built-in ice pack that nests below the bento-style compartment tray. Simply place the ice pack in the freezer overnight and pop it into the lunchbox on days you want to keep food chilled on the go. When it’s not necessary to keep food cool, just skip the ice pack. It’s a sleek, all-in-one solution for sending your child to school with a fresh, healthy, portion-perfect lunch.

It was great at first. My kindergartener is a picky eater so i pack his lunch every day. Unfortunately the seal doesn’t work anymore. The food gets soggy and son wont eat if i pack his lunch in this box. Which is a shame because it was $30.

This is a great item, easy for the kids to use at school. Helpful that the tray is dishwasher safe. My only criticism would be that the largest space doesn't accommodate the width of a regular piece of bread, even when the crust is cutoff which is frustrating.

This fits a surprising amount of food and easily fills my 5 and 8 year old's stomachs. They like carrying it in a lunch box though and it really doesn't fit well into the Bentgo insulated lunch tote, so I am sending the totes back.

Icepack Does Not Keep Food Cold

First off I want to say that we've owned a Bentgo Kids Box for the past two years and absolutely loved it. My son likes certain foods only if they are cold though (cucumbers, celery, berries, etc), so I was excited to see that Bentgo made a Chill lunchbox version with a compatible icepack. Unfortunately our experience over the past month is that the icepack does not keep his food cold through lunchtime (~4 hrs after I pack his lunch) - let along through afternoon snack time. So - in a nutshell - get a Bentgo Kids Lunchbox for regular foods - they are awesome! But if keeping food cold is your goal search elsewhere for a different lunchbox.

Ok, so I am big on bento style lunches for my kids, I’ve been packing them for years. The ice pack didn’t work great, it wasn’t snapping in with the tray for me, I think it warped in the freezer or something. Anyway, I just throw a regular igloo ice pack in the lunch bag with this. As for a lunch bag, this does not fit in a pottery barn lunch bag, but it does fit in a simple modern lunch bag (which I love). Overall this is a great size for a preschooler or toddler in daycare. I use this for a 4 year old but I think he’ll need more next year so I’ll look for something bigger. Overall great quality.

Stained very easily with ketchup. No amount of soaking or scrubbing will remove the stains from the rubber seals on the inside. Also the external rubber around the tray will stain too. Looks dirty because of stains. Expected better quality for the price.
